Love this. Barely used the instruments after the first few miles, it puts all you need to know right where you need it. Thanks to everyone that said it was a must have - you were right!


I discovered yesterday whilst making a phone call that the phone info is displayed there as well.

Ivory, the wise mans choice, does away with the cream lower dash of the Oyster interior

I just checked the configurator and ivory comes with black seat belts this is cream seat belts and is comnig with oyster interior..Will leave it to OP to confirm but in any case looks really stunning

The interior contrasts really well with the Carbon Black.

Looking at your interior pics; have you not got the USB slot on the dash under the AC controls? I thought they had moved it as part of idrive 5 updates?

Correct, it's oyster. My pics are very poor on the colour of the interior, it's not as light as it appears. Speaker grilles are the other oyster vs.ivory giveaways I believe (black on ivory cars)

Cheers mate My USB is in the armrest, haven't noticed one in the dash but will check today. I don't have enhanced bluetooth, they don't throw in an extra USB with that do they?

You only get the extra USB port in the dash if you spec enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging.

Would be good if there is another useable USB somewhere, as I could do with a couple and I'm not keen on exposed cables.

I haven't ordered enhanced BT as I thought this could be coded, plus I don't really need the added features. As far as I know, there is a USB port in the glovebox for music transfer to HDD, and one in the armrest for a phone/device.

If there is another USB with enhanced BT then I best get onto the dealers and hope my spec can be updated!

Cheers - just had a look. I'm guessing they've moved this from the glovebox, and that it's only used for music/profile transfer.

Thanks again. Still not sure if this will do what I'm after. Will search around or see if the dealer has any info. Basically I'm looking for a home for a mini 64GB USB stick with a lot of MP3 music. I don't mind this on view as it'll be pretty flush to the panel, but not after wires on show. Armrest USB will be for iPhone charging.

Enhanced bluetooth was one of those options that I thought about quite a lot. If my daily drives were longer then I would have picked it, but as it is I am happy without and may venture into coding it (for some of the benefits).

Yep, and ipod tracks as you may have noticed by scrolling with the wheel only..

I like the small directional arrow you get in the HUD when using the nav, they are very handy on back roads at night that you don't know.. gives you almost some pace notes as to how sharp the bends are..

That said, the badge design team at BMW want shooting, I thought the x-drive was bad, but it seems the Gran Coupe gives it a good run for it's money

Not a fan of the window badges. Anyone successfully removed these?
