How are most DP fixes? Do they plug into the engine ECU or the o2 sims? Do they need to be tapped/spliced/soldered?

Well if you get a catted downpipe you dont need a cat simulator/fix and you eliminate lotsa exhaust smell and at least partially contribute to not ejecting illegal emissions into the atmosphere..

A 200 cell catted down pipe will still set off a CEL. You need the 300 cell fabspeed piece and they guarantee no CEL. Or a cat simulator.

Yes tapped and spliced, but I'm working on a plug and play harness and will share my experiment wires should be here this week.

Absolutely I'm waiting for the special harness from California it should be here today. I just hope the connections plug in like they're suppose to.

You can control overboost very easy with a flash. I don't overboost at all on bm3 map or ACF map. With jb4 OTH I was set at 17 psi and use to see 20

Harness I got in the mail doesn't plug up . Plan B. Gotta get creative. These o2 sensors on the f series are big hard shells wish I could find some used throw away o2 sensors.

If you want to rely on knock-triggered timing pulls to get your timing and pushing fuel trims near their limits to get your fuel right, by all means get a piggyback. If you want smooth, safe, proper operation, get a Bootmod3 custom flash tune.

There are also other flash tunes on the market besides BM3. But I completely agree that it is much more reliable and consistent for your engine to get a flash tune instead of trying to trick it with a piggy back.

There are others but Bootmod3 is user-flashable and includes free updates when new improvements come.

Yes but by user flashable that also means detectable by the dealership and that means no more warranty if you have one. There is something to be said though about being able to update maps whenever you please. I rather wanted something that I could load and then be done with, which is why I went with Franks tune. To each their own!

Every single flash be it bench flash, obd bypass flash is detectable. There is no such thing as an undetectable flash. It's ether they'll see the flash counter/tamper or physically look at the DME which is not very hard and immediately spot the opening of dme.

Ok it's back on, I've acquired a source for oem 2 pice down stream o2 sensor terminal plugs and I'm awaiting my 1st prototype set in the mail. plug and play cat sim is going to be possible 100%.

However It's not cheap . $33 for the pair of shells shipped. But to me the clean install and no cutting and splicing will be so with it!

Here she is...I should have this done sometime next week.

If it is flashed directly through the DME then the flash counter will not be changed. And if the proper measures are used to close the DME box back up, then it will be very difficult to detect. Furthermore, the dealership will rarely go through the entire process to go and check the DME box to see if it has been tampered with. Unless they have suspicions of tampering such as speeds above 155 or revs above the preset redline. Nothing is completely undetectable, but nearly is close enough for 99% of the applications of the users on here.
