No.

That was not a US spec car shown at the show.

Not exactly.

It was US spec as evidenced by orange inserts in the bumper. However, it was a US spec car built for pre-production testing (likely mostly on German roads). Those cars are weird hybrids, being mostly US, but also having some EU options.

Like I said. Not to US spec, if they were they would not have the fog lights.

Ok, maybe I'm clueless here but I don't think that has anything to do with not being a US spec car. From what I've read, the reason that the M-spec F30's didn't have fog lights had to do with not obstructing the air intake. Maybe BMW has heard from the masses and is now offering fog lights on the F31???

Exactly.

It is not a US Spec car in the fact that it's not an typical us production allocation. It is at an auto show for a reason.

Given the air intake issue given for the sedan, there is no reason they would go back on that for the wagon.

Why would it be a problem in NA but not in ROW markets?

M Sport looks so much better with foglights!

BMW gave the bs reason that it's for cooling required in our climate. I think it's cost cutting, but no one can prove it.

Maybe it's a Canadian spec model, according to the ordering guide posted on the forums, 520 is NOT deleted when combined to M Sport Package.

Anyone get the VIN on that thing, and/or check out the speedometer?

F31-Pricing Guide Sheet

I've attached a screen shot from BMW's North American F31-Pricing Guide Sheet listing the features of the M Sport Pack and it clearly states ZMM will delete 520 [fog lights]. I agree with other comments stating that this does not make sense.

Read my above post - I was referring to the Canadian ordering guide. That guide you posted does not apply to Canada.

US Spec does not equal Canadian spec... Although our M Sport F30s don't have foglights either.

Oh my bad. All my statements, I was talking about the US. The wagon will mirror the sedan which in the US means no fogs.

Canada, I dunno.

OK, so based on these specs does the Canadian F31 have fogs?

Canada will have fog light delete too on Mspec cars too. Whether it is additional cooling or cheaper car, that is what we get.

The top of the spec sheets reads North America. Maybe BMW has got it wrong, isn't Canada a part of North America?

To BMW, NA equals US, not necessarily Canada.

For example, you guys get all lines on the Touring, we only get Modern or M Sport. No Sport or Luxury lines.

Thanks, BMW has redefined the continent and denied Canada the Sport!

Happened once here in CT since I've owned the car.
