New Car: 335d GT M Sport

Hi guys,

I posted this over on the UK forum first and now want to update the GT forum, so here you go:

Well my wait was pretty painless and I've ended up with what I feel is the ideal car for me so very pleased!

I ordered through Berry Heathrow using Tony and his colleague Andy Ringer once the spec and deal was agreed. They were brilliant and I can't fault the service. They also helped me with a loan car to bridge the gap between my company car going back on the 2nd Jan and picking this one up (23rd Jan). The loan car was a lovely 420d GC Sport - which incidentally helped me put to bed the nagging feeling that I should have gone for something a bit more sporty/ dynamic/ interesting than the GT. In the end I can safely say the GT isn't the compromise I thought it might be

Here are some pics:

This was the full spec list:

335d GT M Sport
Glacier Silver
Brushed Alu w/ Black Gloss
Coral Dakota
M Sport+
Professional Media
Visibility Pack
Extended Storage
Lumbar Support
Heated Front Seats
Adaptive M Sport Suspension

Really enjoying the car and definitely happy with the choices I made!

Beautiful car. Congrats.

Is this your first time with dynamic handling package? If so, I recommend you try the various options in iDrive to decouple, if you will, the suspension settings from the throttle settings. It allows you to put the car in sport mode for suspension while maintaining comfort mode for throttle. For me, this combination is great for driving around town. If I want sport mode throttle, I simply move the gearshift to sport mode.

Have fun with your new car.

Thanks for the warm welcome and positive comments guys! Lovely to see some very nice looking GTs from across the UK & US!

It is indeed my first time with the Adaptive Suspension and actually what you suggested was the first thing I did when I was driving back from the garage - Sport mode is only Chassis, and I would push gear lever to the left for Sport gearbox too.

Cheers!
