No. That is likely a DCAN Cable for Exx. You must have an ENET Cable (OBD x ETHERNET) for Fxx.

So, if you want B&O, you got to pony up $3700 for the additional hardware.
I activated the B&O function and now have 2 choices, "Studio" and "Expanded". EQ works as well; Pretty neat. Not sure if its just different DSP algorithms.

Hey Shawn,

I also just purchased the ENET cable and eager to learn how to code. May I get some help with the software link to start coding? Thanks for you time!

This is some pretty interesting stuff Shawn.

Can you please send me the link as well. I'm not getting my car for a bit, but would like to see how this works.

Which cars models/years doe it work with?

Are there any special options we need to pick for most of this stuff to work on the current M cars? Such as the expanded bluetooth stuff, or can go with the standard bluetooth that is included?

Thanks

E-Sys works on all Fxx cars. If you have 609 Nav Pro, you will be able to code most everything including Enhanced Bluetooth.

Thanks Heaps to ShawnSheridan for the links. Much appreciated.
I've done quite a bit of coding on my F20 now, working great.

I'm trying to open the CAF files off line, so I can look thorugh some of the modules at my leaisure, but when I try to open the files I get the error message
"Can not parse the caf file "C:\Data\CAF\CAFD_00000760_007_000_029.ncd"! [C010]
SAXParseException: Content is not allowed in prolog."
From my searches I've seen other people post this message, but I've never seen a reply.

Thanks

Are you using the CAF Viewer? If you want to read .ncd, you need to use the FDL Editor.

Yes. Opened the "Editors and Viewers" option on the left. As I'm not connected I only see a couple of options. I selected the CAF Viewer, and tried to open a CAF file. I then get the error above.

No, you opened a .ncd file, and for that you need to use the FDL Editor. CAF Viewer is for CAFD Files.

i.e.:

Use FDL Editor:

C:\Data\CAF\CAFD_00000DED_003_013_025.ncd

Use CAF Viewer:

C:\Data\psdzdata\swe\cafd\cafd_00000ded.caf.003_01 3_025

Both FDL Editor and CAF Viewer can be used offline.
