The seller I bought mine from is no longer around but contact squidlyboy and if possible get your rings from him, the guy is a genius when it comes to this sort of thing - I couldn't have done mine without him.

Attachment 1580580
5 needs an ignition live so splice the DRL and parking light together as either will always be live and use that, this will mean though that the rings are always on when the ignition is on, mines like this and its no bad thing.

You don't need 6 but if you do you'll need to run it into the car and connect to an ambient light source like the footwell, doing this will make the angels come on with the interior lighting, I didn't do this as what's the point?

Ok, so choose either the DRL or parking light wire? or both? you said both so I'm confused.

Also, do you have a picture to which that wire is?

Splice both the DRL and parking light wires together and solder in 5.

Have you read this thread from the beginning? All the wiring is in there.

yea I read the thread but just wanted confirmation, I've never dealt with wiring until this project. I am however comfortable with bolt on mods. I will post my final product when done!

For the Headlight Alignment Rig, i just hooked it up to the car battery (my power supply had not arrived yet). For that I did go through the connector on the back of the headlight since I was powering the OEM bulbs (for the 'before' reference line), and no special wiring was needed.

I just used this wiring rig put together with cheap parts (battery clamps and alligator clips) you can pick up at your local home improvement and/or electronics store. I got all my stuff at Lowes and Harbor Freight. For extra safety, you can add a 25A fuse to the power line to protect your car battery.
.

Here's the pin-out for the connector on the back of the headlight. The power and ground pins for the low-beam are right next to each other, so be careful you don't touch/short the lines.

So just connect red alligator clip to pin #3 and black alligator clip to pin #2, then hook up the other side to the battery posts under the car hood.

General Purpose Lab Bench DC Power Supply Tips

And .... since we're talking about power supplies, i might as well give you guys a heads up and avoid some of the mistakes i made. Someone else PM'ed me about how I powered the headlights when working indoors, and i'm sure it will come up again. So...

I found out using a DC clamp-meter (amp meter) that a single 35w xenon HID bulb + 35w ballast requires a peak of 6-7 amps alone on initial charge to ignite the xenon gas in the HID bulb. Once the arc of light is established, the steady state current draw is about 3.5 - 4.0 amps. And since i'll have two of sets of xenon HID bulbs in one headlight, you'll need to double everything. So for 2 sets of xenons, that makes it 12-14 amps initial/peak and 7-8 amps stead-state.

Not knowing this about the current draw from xenon HIDs initially, my first thought was to pick up one of these cheap lab bench type variable voltage DC power supplies you see on Ebay. Don't do it. Save your money. Well, at least don't get the cheap ones that are current limited to 5A or even 10A. Most of these have a current limiting circuit that will actually cut off even before their rated max current limit. The 10A power supply i initially bought couldn't even fire up a SINGLE 35w xenon HID bulb But if you really like these lab bench power supplies, make sure you get one that is appropriately rated. Me, i personally wouldn't get one rated at less than 30amps - just be forewarned that something on that level is going to be a lot of $$$
.

.
Fortunately, there is an easy and inexpensive solution - an ATX power supply from an old computer. Typically, one of these old ATX power supplies will roughly be on the order of 350w, which provides you ample current to fire up at least two 35w xenon HID bulbs Just look at the label on the power supply and look at the max current rating for the +12v line. The 300W PS below is from a SPI (Sparkle Power Intl - which is an excellent PS company btw) and notice this one is rated for 15A. This should be enough to power two 35w xenon HID bulbs, and i verified that it was able to power up two simultaneously without any issues
Can anybody give me some advice. I am looking for a 12v source to light up my Angel eye relay trigger wire for the f32 xenon lights. I have been testing the grey wire pin 5 as this is meant to be the Drl but it's live all the time even once car locked and angels switch off?

Am I doing something wrong?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/CANBUS-TERM...RX2a_Q&vxp=mtr

If it is good, I should buy H1 - 35W - 6000K am I right?

Thank you!
