4 Series LED Bulbs / Regular Bulbs for Turning Signals?

Has anyone noticed that the 4Series has LED for the Parking Lights in the Rear and Regular Bulbs for the Turn Signals? or is it my imagination?

I have seen some older 3 Series with FULL LED Rear Lights. Is it cost cutting again?

This is correct. The turn signals in these cars are not LED. You can buy LED bulbs for them but they require coding so they won't through any errors. I'm sure it's so if they decide to give a facelift, they will change the taillight/headlight design slightly and make them full LED all around.

Are these LED Turn Signals if so are they OEM or Aftermarket Upgrade?

Those are LEDs, and they are OEM in the BMW e90 3-series from 2009 and up. They added those LED turnsignals/taillights as a part of their face-lift for the e90.

I hope they make a full LED treatment to the facelift 3 series, but based on the recent spy shots, there is nothing changed for the rear.

You never know. They might have not put them in the camouflaged vehicles because tail lights have to be exposed and the 2012-2015 taillights fit. There still is a chance they have LED face-lifted taillights on their way.

I highly doubt they will add the LED to the turn signal. Look at the F10 LCI with the standard xenon headlight, the turn signal in the headlight housing is now incandescent instead of LED prior facelift.

BMW really cheaped out here - I consider bright "instant on" turn signals and brake lights an important safety feature.
