The easiest way is you would see a projector in the dashboard above the instrument cluster.

You should see something like the this when you are driving. There is also a button to the left of the steering column to toggle the HUD on/off, but you would see an opening in the dash in front of the steering wheel as well.

HU_NBT => ENT_CODEC_OGG = aktiv (nicht_aktiv)
HU_NBT => ENT_CODEC_VCD = aktiv (Werte=01)
HU_NBT => ENT_CODEC_XVID = aktiv (Werte=01)

From the looks of your recommendation, I'm missing the ECC_CODEC_OGG setting, which is probably my issue. I'll modify this and hopfully it will work then.

Well, OGG is simply one Codec. Unless you try and play OGG file, it would not make a difference.

If you are using your phone though, try instead using a USB Flash Drive with .mp4 on it, and see if you can play it.

What I was trying to do was get the iPhone display to show on the iDrive screen so that I could play anything from a video to the local news if stuck in traffic etc...

I've only tried it twice now, but when I plug it in via the standard Apple USB cable plugged into my iPhone 4S, then go to 'External Devices' and select my phone, it's giving me a message on the screen that the device that's being connected is not compatible (or something to that effect).

I'm doing this through the center console.

Oddly, on my 2011 335i with NO mods whatsoever, I could play iPhone music videos while stopped in traffic, but of course then when I started to move they stopped and gave me the default 'warning' message.

I can't even seem to get it to play anything from the iPhone, even while parked in the garage, and what's odd is that the iPhone screen states that the video is being played on a 'TV Screen', so it's thinking it's doing something.

All this is making me think I'm missing another setting somewhere else. Additionally, with this said I can't get the iPhone 4S to display texts, messages, emails, anything, etc... on the iDrive, even the dealer was stumped by this when I picked up the car.

As I write this, I recall on my 2014 F12 that under Bluetooth settings it would allow you to select a second phone (wifes) via a check box to allow for a second phone to be connected to the car and I've noticed that this is not present on the 2015 F12 any longer.

Aren't you supposed to use a special cable to hook up a pre-iPhone5 to your car for more functionality (ex: BMW Apps) ?

Are you sure car has EBT and not basic Bluetooth?

What is the Bluetooth Option Code you have?

I have a 2014 F30, it does not have the Driver Assist Plus package with the camera in the rear view mirror. I do have GPS and just about every other option..I would like to activate the portion of SLI which is provided with the GPS
to display in my HUD - is there a coding option to do that??

Yes, Option Code 8TH Speed Limit Info. And you need KAFAS Camera not FLA Camera, which means you need LDW. If you have only HBA, you will have only FLA Camera.

But, you cannot enable it without a 7E FSC FSC Enabling Code issued by BMW AG for your VIN, which is so far impossible to get.

I coded an F32 435i the other day build date 05/2014 and the VIN said it had 6NH but he still had the Bluetooth Audio option enabled but not office.

I think 2015 models and some 2014 models will have just the Bluetooth Audio streaming enabled if they are on NBT with 6NH.
