Real MPGs 335 xdirve
Guys,
I was wondering how many real combined use mpgs i can expect on a 2013 335 xdrive ? I am looking for an average # based on lets say 50 fill ups to accommodate for differences in driving habits, and commutes. Appreciate your thoughts |

I'm averaging around 21-22 mpg after 1700 miles.

first 2 tanks are showing about 20.1, but my actual calculations have been closer to 18.6. lot of slow driving to work for me though and stop and go.

I reset my obc. Now it's reading 20.1mpg. 95% city. I have been driving aggressively lately. 60% sport mode with DS mode activated.
FYI if you have the 19s and driving on roads similar to NJ roads good luck. I have a second tire that needs replacing. My first went flat at 1200 miles. My second just got a bubble from a pothole 2600 miles. Almost 400 dollars for the tire. Fortunately I have tire insurance

I drive about 90% highway at avg 75 mph. after about 4k miles, it never really budges off 25.9. This in a 335xi with sport auto, in sport mode, where I have set it to sport chassis only, not transmission (so basically comfort setting for throttle).

Not to hijack the thread, but I just wanted to say that, in my experience, I could barely keep the low profile 18s on my last car functional here around Indy. I had the factory set, a set of 18s with race tires, and 17s with blizzaks and I destroyed at least one wheel on every set and left most of them bent. I can't even imagine 19s!?!? I actually felt like that e90s tires/wheels should not even be on the road around here. Twice, I was left with flats that made me get a ride back to my house in order to get another tire/wheel to switch out. New car has these big balloonlike 18 all seasons on it, so it seems safe, but I hate the way they look and feel. |

If I go to work one-way (18 miles) and take the trip 100% eco pro with conservative driving (50/50 highway/city), I can get 29-30 mpg. Invariably during the span of a tank, I always put it into sports mode and that few moments of fun really puts a hurtin' on my overall mpg numbers. But its worth it

Making short trips around town, it's around 19 mpg. Overall (mix of in-town and highway), it's around 24 mpg. The best I've done is 30 mpg: highway driving over long distances. This may not apply to a 2013 sedan -- I'm driving a 2011 xDrive coupe. However, the engines are the same (N55) and I expect the wide variability based on driving style and location is the same.
