F30 M Sport with H&R supersport springs
After extensive research, my first modification done on the car were these springs. I wanted a more compelling drop compared to factory suspension but not over the top ridiculous. Front dropped by 3.5cm (1.5inch) and rear by 3cm (1.2inch)

Thanks guys for the positive feedback. Just wanted to share my thoughts and photos of what the car would look like when fitted for anyone who wants to go down this path. I went with h&r springs instead of coil overs because:
A. It's cheaper $400 vs $2000 B. The drop is just as nice C. The ride quality is not harsh (still comfortable with less body roll) D. I don't track it like my previous cars so no need for the coilover set up. E. German made quality. The only negative is that the steep driveway is a bit of a bitch when I park at night. Advantages of coilover setup for anyone going down this path over springs are: A. Can be height adjusted to the level you desire. B. Stiffness level can be adjusted C. Better for track days D. Most likely will be better for the shock absorbers (but the h&r springs were made to handle the stock shock absorbers). E. Can adjust the camber effect for different wheel setup. The other springs that are also very similar and gives the same drop and also German made are Eibach springs for anyone interested. They are pretty much of the same build, quality and looks. Both H&R and Eibach are used for the German DTM and various teams, so they know German cars very well and all the specs. I wouldn't go with any other sport springs brand than these two for German cars. |

Mate looks good. But you went Super sports, I was thinking just sports. So you get no rubbing now? I am using the original Msport tyres with M580s 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 but standard it sits too high at the front like they all do. |

there are a lot of cars on this forum that have the H&R sports fitted (as opposed to supersport on mine) that looks really nice. the difference between the two is approxiametly an extra 0.6 inch (1.2cm front) and 0.5 inch (1.1cm) rear, which isnt much but i hate big wheel gaps and didnt want to regret not getting supersport if the sport H&R wasnt low enough. Price wise, they are the same. You can buy them off internet dealers (eg Turner motorsport, Mike-xph.com or ebay for around $400 after exchange rates), and shipped to us here is Oz, and get a suspension centre to install them professionally and properly wheeled aligned (around $500). There is absolutely no rubbing at all with my original msport wheels and tyres(as you can see with the first pics) and with my new m3 wheels i had 235/35/19 front (no rubbing at all) and 275/30/19 rears with rubbing so had to change to 255/30/19 which is the stock width tyre, and now there is absolutely no rubbing. these wheels are concave, so the offset is around 38 (to the rear) whereas the stock msport offset was 45-47, so that plays a part to it aswell. Just check your wheel offset too. Hope this helps. good luck buddy. |

Thanks mate for all the info really appreciate it. I went to Heasemans in Sydney this morning they specialise in suspension work. They use Eibach which I know from my Mechanical days are a good spring. They say the front will drop about 40mm and the back about 10mm. They had a good look at the car and said they don't see it rubbing as it will run a tad more negative camber at the front with the lowering.
I attached a photoshopped pic of how it would look and I think it will look pretty cool. Thanks again mate. |

Question for the forum. I'm selling my super sport springs on my F30 after I purchased BC Coilovers. Will they fit on an E92?
