N0Chill 335i's F30 Thread Last Update 07/22/18 Car SOLD

Hello all. I just finalized the deal on my all new (to me) F30 335i today. It's a 2013 AW M Sport RWD model with red interior. 1 owner lease return with 27k miles on her. I'm not 100% sure on all of the options aside from my must haves. M Sport, Sport Seats, Navi, Paddle Shifters. Everything else is a plus beyond that. I did notice the HUD right away so I assume it has the tech package. Also came with what I believe is the Sport steering wheel, but I'm not certain of that. I'm not a huge fan of the red interior, I'm sure it will grow on me though. If not... I'll swap it out for black with another willing member on here or 1 in my area. Other than that, I'm in love with this thing. Anywho, on to the pics...

My plan is to go for an OEM PLUS look for this car. Black accents, coilovers, wheels and what not. I plan to go FBO with VRSF products, a custom exhaust and a custom tune from Frank Smith over at Tuning Tech along with MPPK for that lovely exhaust sound. All of that will start next year after the wedding and honeymoon I have coming up. Pretty much have my mod list down as I've been researching this platform for the last year or so to get an idea on exactly what I want to accomplish with this build.

I came from an e92 335i that I modded fairly aggressively... I miss this car already, but it's time to move onto bigger and better things.

My modding tastes aren't for everyone and I know that.
I'll keep this thread updated as regularly as possible like I did with my other thread on e90post.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Already getting lots of offers to swap interiors... I didn't realize Coral was such a desired color. I still do not see it growing on me though. Gonna wait until after the craziness of the wedding and holidays to pass before I decide on what to do with it. After 2 days, I'm still leaning towards the black interior as my 1st option. Although the saddle is tempting as well if I can find it.

Any who, I'm enjoying the car so far. Getting used to all of the different driving settings and when best to apply them during the various parts of my commutes. I turned that damn engine stop crap off as soon as I figured out how to... that shit is terribly annoying. Coming from a fully stanced car, I forgot how comfortable a BMW can be and in Comfort mode this rides even better than I could have imagined. The body roll is a bit much, but I realize that's because I didn't put it into Sports+ mode. I'm gonna take her for a late night drive tonight and really have some fun.

More to come.

I always start my modification process by removing all badges on the trunk of my cars. Super glad to have that damn M badge taken off for sure. I'd remove the roundel as well if it did not leave an empty crevice... looks so much cleaner now.

Ordered some simple black accent pieces today as well. Gonna get my windows tinted on Monday after I complete my state inspection.

Also reached out to Alex@Alpine about getting some coding done. There are definitely a few features I want to tweak on this car. Starting to get into the swing of things now. She's beginning to feel more like mine with every drive.

Finalizing my mod list now... still doing research on a few things, but I've narrowed it down pretty much. About to look into suspension components as well, I never delved into that realm with my last car. Not trying to build a race car or anything, it just feels like this car has a lot more body roll than my previous e92 did in Stock form.

Anywho... onto the list...

[ ] Injen Short Ram Intake $260
[ ] VRSF Aluminum CP $220
[ ] VRSF N55 Ceramic DPs $240
[ ] VRSF FMIC $480
[ ] Custom Exhaust with Quad Tips
[ ] Tuning Tech Dino Tune $700
[ ] Coded Features
[ ] Green LED Ambient Lights
[ ] Ultra Bright White Interior Spotlights
[ ] Ultra White License LEDs
[ ] Tints 20% All Around
[ ] AW Painted Reflectors
[ ] Trunk Debadge
[ ] Black Roundels
[ ] Gloss Black Sport Grills
[ ] Gloss Black Roof Wrap
[ ] Gloss Black Mirror Caps
[ ] Eye Lids CF
[ ] Front Splitters CF
[ ] AW Front Lip
[ ] Quad Diffuser CF
[ ] M4 Style Trunk Lip CF
[ ] Rolled Fenders
[ ] Wheel Stud Kit
[ ] Muteki Lug Nuts 14x1.25mm
[ ] BC Coilovers $999
[ ] R1 Drilled and Slotted Rotors
[ ] Green Break Calipers
[ ] Ceramic Brake Pads
[ ] 19X9 et30, 19X10.5 et45
[ ] 245x35 X 285x30

As you can see, some of the items have pricing and others don't. I like to keep a running total of cost for my modifications, so I track through pricing as I buy or once I find out how much.

I'm still on the fence about wheels. I REALLY want some VOLK Rays TE37s but I'm having a hard time finding them in the specs I want. The rear offset in this car for wide wheels is so high... it's infuriating. More than likely going to end up with Work Meisters S3s if I can't find exactly what I want. Trying to run meaty tires this time around.

Also, reached out to Alex@Alpine about getting remote coding done. I ordered my Enet cable yesterday and I look forward to getting that done as soon as possible, there are some stock features that are absolutely annoying!

Windows Up/Down with Fob
Windows Up with Comfort Access
Folding Mirrors with Key (Instant)
Folding Mirrors with C.A. (Instant)
Unlock Doors with Single Pull
5 Blinks Lane Indicated
Remove Amber Side Marker
Auto Start/Stop OFF
Door Handle LED in Reverse
Increase Ambient light to 80%
Tail Lights as DRL
Remove iDrive Accept Warning
Activate DVD in Motion
Activate Video through USB in Motion
Auto Climate OFF
Digital Number Display TPMS
Sports Display

That's about it for now. Have a good day ladies and gentlemen.

It's pretty much going to be like this.

I did this 1 with a a vibrant resonator in place the secondary cat out to 2 smaller mufflers and 3" dual tip pipes. With the F30 already having a resonator I'm going to start with a magnaflow Y pipe out to the same size dual tips that I had before. Also going to add in some J Pipes to kill the drone. I will wait until after I swap out the DPs to determine whether or not I want to remove the resonator on this 1 as well. I don't want it to be TOO loud.

Got quite a few offers on the table. Once I make up my mind on these I'll post a thread with the details of exactly what I'm looking for. I'll update this thread with the link after I make my decision.

Naaaahhhh... the more I see them the more I dislike them. I am NOT a fan of primary colors at all and to have my entire interior be this bright red, that turns me off. They're pretty much already gone in my mind, I'm just waiting for my schedule to free up some time. Those seats and these damn painted blue brakes that the previous owner did. If they were the OEM M Sport brakes with the matching rear caliper, I wouldn't mind as much. But it looks like he used some cheap rattle can paint... It's almost like Plastidip textured.

Hit up Alex@Alpine. 3105600808 He responds to text rather quickly. I'm just waiting for my E-Net cable to come in so I can schedule my time with him.
