About to have spacers put on my 435GC...

very modest 10mm fronts and 13mm rear- have 19" 442 wheels
The car is only 2000 miles old and drives perfect- should I have an alignment or some such thing done after the spacers go on?
H&R spacers if that matters
Thanks for the help

OK had spacers put on by Tim Duncans (Yes #21) Blackjack Speed Shop in San Antonio
10mm front 13mm rear looks fantastic- the word I would say is "complete" The Gran Coupe is .5" higher than the Coupe- (My brother has a 435 Coupe with the same 19" 442 Orbit Gray wheels) and the GC does sit slightly higher. I would have it lowered except for A> I have the M adaptive suspension and dont want to mess with it and B> I have the Carbon Fiber front splitter and I actually like the extra .5"
BUT
Putting these spacers on fills out more of the wheel wells and on the GC is just perfect IMO.
Its dark now will take some pics- its very subtle but effective.

Still dark in TX. Or, OP is out staring at his GC.

OK here are the pics- but in all reality you have to see the car in person- it makes a big difference but like the car itself it is subtle. But since the GC does ride higher than the coupe- these really fill out the wheel wells and I love em.
H&R 10mm front 13mm rear- cost $ 296 including longer bolts.

Before:

AFTER

The last picture may show the best- while of course the car is not lowered but the wheel wells are filled and thats the next best thing! Don't really want it lowered cuz A> Has the BMW adaptive suspension and don't want to mess with that, and B> I have a front splitter and the car height is perfect for not scraping the expensive CF front splitter (as much!) Gives the GC a perfect look IMO.
BTW- cant imagine going 20+ in the rear or 15-20 in the fronts- too gangsta.
And the car still drive perfectly did not need re-alignment.

3 questions.

1) $296 installed?

2) What front lip is that?

3) The woman in pic 1, is she picking a wedgie?

Thanks for the pics.

1> Tim Duncan (#21) owns a Performance Shop in San Antonio- tech did it for $ 64 I assume it is less than $100 anywhere.
2> BMW Carbon Fiber Front Splitter from the Performance parts catalog $ 1500
3> LOL Thats my wife adjusting the panties cuz they were in a wad cuz I was taking yet another picture of my chariot!!

~ looks great!

i always add spacers to my cars for it's amazing the difference the subtle change can make to the over-all appearance to the car.

Absolutely I have lowered the past two GTIs that Ive had and my first E46 ZHP sedan- not drastically all of them less than 1" But that subtle change made those cars look dramatically better. Since lowering the GC is not in the cards adding the spacers are a must- and yes the difference is subtle but very noticeable- in a very good way.

So wait, this Tim Duncan character actually charged you $64 to put on spacers? It literally takes 10-15 minutes to slap on 4 spacers...

Looks really good, you could have even went 15mm or 18mm in the rear without it looking crazy. Sometimes I wish I would have went 18, but I'm cool with the 15mms rear for now.

ryanSTL, with the 10mm f/15mm r setup, are the wheels equally pushed out front and rear? Going by your pics, it seems the rear is more aggressive? The front looks more tucked in.

they are VERY similar in their relationship to the fender. I'd say the fronts are slightly tucked in and the rears are just slightly more in line with the fender edge.

I would cringe if the wheels went any beyond the fender. they don't

happy with my spacer sizes on these wheels. i guess you could go a smaller size in back, but i like mine.
