When is it too hot (temp) for a chip?

As altitude is the killer for NA engines, heat is the killer of FI engines...

I live in Atlanta where we have two months of 90º and three months of over 80º... What is the temp at which FI engines start to lose power? And at what temp should you think about not use the chips like PROcedure and Juice Box?

I have used Procede longer than one year and had no issues relative to the heat that we had here last summer. Heat is an issue for our engines moreso than the Procede, which is just a box of computer components with some wires. I'm not sure at what temp our engines experience heat soak, but I have run my car hard with oil temps up to 280 and was still getting good power. That was before i put in an oil cooler.

Drew, thanks... I was not clear in my OP but I was referring to the engine losing power and feeling the heat soak and not the chip/ecu itself.

I wouldn't worry about it. Where I live it gets up to 118 in the summer. Worse than that I now there's people on this board running the procede that are in the middle east. We all laugh at your 90.
