Rear window,no wiper!

Hey all.
I was just pondering over just how much my new 330 iperformance rear window will annoy me. I know it's a little anal but I've always had a hatch before and have therefore always had a rear wiper. I HATE not being able to see clearly and I'm always. Leading mine of rain droplets. I've seen some spray you can get to help rain form into beads which help rain run off. Does anyone have any recommended products and can anyone advise if these actually work.
Thanks all

Been driving the F30 for about a year now, it's my first sedan in years, after a series of hatchbacks and wagons. Not once did I miss a rear wiper.

Thanks Redwood although I think you underestimate my levels of OCD with a clear window lol.

Yeah, maybe :-) But aerodynamics will work in your favour. The rear window on my previous wagon used to get super dirty with every rain, and I used the wiper quite a lot. There's no need for that now, and whenever I wash the car, the rear window is probably the cleanest part of the car. Not sure about droplets staying on, though, I'll keep an eye out the next time it rains :-)

I have it on all my windows, and the sunroof as well.

You're not driving fast enough - the rear window will clear via airflow.

But I've used Rain-X with good success. You have to re-apply if you wash the window(s), however.

Rain-x works great, especially if you re-apply when you know it's going to rain. Apply with paper towel, let dry for a minute or so until it forms a haze, then polish for a second with dry paper towel. Just don't drip any on your paint.

I've always used the rain-x cleaner spray, and never had any problems. Just reapply whenever you wash your car.

There are also many different types of glass sealants on the market now, so feel free to try them all. I'm going to be trying Griots once my Rain-x runs out.

Rain-X is what I used to use, once a month. I only have to apply Aquapel twice a year.

Never need a rear wiper on my GC, even with the sloped hatch glass........

When i use rain-x, i don't even need to use the wipers... The water instantly beads up and rolls off the window. You do have to reapply once a month or so but it's worth it. I imagine it would last longer on the rear window as well

If you turn on your rear window defroster, it will actually dry the rear window

M47 drying it isn't an issue but when it's raining it won't dry it. Maybe I'm just stressing over nothing. I have mild OCD so it will do my head in no doubt. Maybe I should be more concerned with the cream leather interior

I must have a very different type of OCD because any car I have ever had with a rear windshield wiper never had the wiper turned on. I couldn't stand the mess it makes on the window leaving an arc of smeared glass. I would much rather have the rain drops.
