Installed used EPS, used SZL with its original SAS

This is what I believe to be needed:

EPS vin/vo coded and calibrated

SZL vin/vo coded

SAS calibration, issue is one direction reads -19xx and the other direction reads -9xx. Center was triple verified.

All are used parts

However after install, EPS worked, SZL steering wheel buttons and such function. But, still have Chassis stabilization: drive moderately, Steering: Drive moderately, Cruise Control malfunction.

All presumed to be due to program/coding and calibration/ reset.

Am I some what correct as to presuming these issues to be the case?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

No Sir, haven’t done so. I am a diehard E46’er since 2002. My first venture of into the f series. Have ESys, in process of downloading ista D. To plunk around a possibly figure it out myself. Another option would be for someone remotely perform these operations. Really looking for others takeaway of what I’ve stated, to see if my logic is on the right path.

Also have “Protool”. But not as of yet too deep into what it is capable of.

I’ve been attempting to dl ista without any luck on the mega sites. I have a dedicated laptop and the enet cable. How does that work, remotely that is?

Hi I wonder if anyone could shed any light on my problem or sort it out. Car was in a small bump someone caught the front driver corner but in doing so clipped the tire and turn steering wheel and wheels no one was in the car when this happened no power on either no visible damage to the steering but orange steering warning light on. And no eps cleared fault codes expecting it to start working but nothing fault code is 4823A1 EPS control unit internal fault

This is most likley a faulty eps. Better replace it

Hey I know this has been awhile, but I really need some help. I should have ISTA P/ISTA +D up and running later today. I have the same situation as the other guy you offered to help. Replaced my EPS unit, and need to program/initialize it. Thank you!
