Average Buy Saving/ Discount

Hey guys, I'm curious of how much is the average saving/ discount of MSRP you can get if you buy a BMW instead of leasing it? Let's say if I want to finance a 340i. Should I expect $5000-$7000 discount off MSRP (just like leasing)? Perhaps waiting until June, when 2017MY starts production would help?

I'm shopping pretty hard for a 340i, and only looking at purchase, not leasing. The absolute best I've been able to find (and it varies slightly with options) is around 9.5% off MSRP, which with a healthy selection of options, works out to about $5700 off a $61k purchase price, I think. (just from memory, not using a calculator, so captain pedantic - if you're out there pls don't correct my math)

Still looking for one that wouldn't need to be ordered and built, and thinking about the exact configuration, but that's the best i've found. Would love to know if anyone has a dealer out there whos willing to go lower?

And a shout out here for David Avilles (sp?) who has been super helpful - and is the low price guy I referred to above!

I'm being offered $500 over invoice before incentives of $5000. That's about 15%, but I have worked hard to get all the discounts.

Try lightstream.com - they quoted me 2.39%, which isn't zero, but it's not too bad - and you might get the dealer to offer better if they know you have a competing rate already in hand....

Pricing has nothing to do with whether you lease or buy. Those days are gone - to the dealer its a sale regardless if you lease, finance or write a check.

I would just call David and order through him. A lot of dealerships I talked to recently would not even take me serious when I told him what I already had an offer for. They thought I was just being a dbag, I even forwarded the numbers to them without giving a name or dealership and they would not get close to that price.

+1 for David - I've had nobody beat his price voluntarily, and if I do order a 340i thru PCD, I think he wins!

I got the deal price before BMW incentives to 1500 over invoice and then got 1000 in incentives to be only 500 over.

That being said, I got the very first 340i allocation the dealer had. Being in the Bay Area where everything is more expensive, I chalked that up as a win

I can tell that he is a great person because he is treating you the same like he treats someone that purchase an "M". Some sales people would treat customer differently based on the price of the car.

Well Spec'd 440i over here is £47k, discount takes it to £38k (20%).
