4g iStep update, Bricked DME
I was unable to reflash my car after the telematics update from the dealer. Bootmod3 failed at 3% and returned a bunch of faults (the same faults it throws every time, then get cleared at the end). PTF had me pull the DME and send it in to them to unlock. They finally got it on the bench and it's bricked. Now they're sending it back to me so I can work with them to unbrick it before sending it back into them to unlock.
This is a mess. Short version, don't try to flash your car after the update before a bench unlock.

I don't know for sure, but they stated that it needs to be in a factory ready state before they can bench unlock. I'm assuming that requires the computer to be in the vehicle it is programmed for. It will be back in my hands on Tuesday, then I'll report back after a session with their programmer. Once it's clean and good to go, I have to send it back out to them to unlock
