first time on... I have a 2014 335i, I was coming down the interstate Saturday and message came up on display that there was a drive train malfunction, car started running very rough, I was able to me it home, now when I start the car white smoke comes out the exhaust and there is a VERY strong odor of gas coming out the exhaust, car only has 50,600 miles. Any guess as to what is happening????? thanks in advance.

Use an OBD diagnostic tool and you don't have to guess. Even if you buy a full featured unit like a Foxwell it's still cheaper than paying dealerships big buck diagnostic fees to do the same thing.

If you don’t have your own, get one. But in the meantime your local autoparts stores should be able to pull the codes for you.

Could be a leaky injector with the white smoke but again take the advise and run the codes.

Anything my Foxwell NT 510 doesn't find my bimmer-tool lite will, and bimmer-tool lite is freeware.
