LCI ambient light AC trim

My car is PRE-LCI.
Got the LCI AC trim (OEM) with the ambient leds.
Change the leds to a Benzinfabrik leds.

Everything is works perfect, but the brightness of the leds is a bit low for me.
I thought that the leds from Benzinfabrik should be more visible.
Maybe this is how it supposed to be?

I had chinese trim with leds before and the leds was a lot more visible.

Any way to make the leds more bright?

As we discussed this already separately private, the pre LCI has its problems with the ambient light and here again I suppose that this has to do with the installed electronic modules.
When they are showing limited brightness at OEM and 3rd party parts, the problem is mentioned for me.
No idea if they could be swapped to LCI units.

Chinese are too bright so if that is the level you were looking for you won’t like the LCi ambient radio trim. I find it to be plenty bright at 100% idrive (and if you didn’t code the decouple 100% dash illumination)
It is ambient lighting, not accent lighting.

From what I understand pre-LCI ambient lighting isn't as bright as LCI, so that's probably part of the issue.

Additionally, I got a new set of modules from Benzinfabrik a few weeks ago for my new car and they definitely seem not as bright as before. There's another thread touching on this subject. I got a kit 2 years ago for my previous car and they were super bright.

Apparently Benzinfabrik has toned down the brightness a bit. I emailed them and asked. They didn't come out and say they're not as bright (don't want to talk down their own products) but they said they "reworked" them. I remember watching a Youtube video of someone and their modules burnt out from too much heat so they're probably adding a stronger resistor to their new modules. Either way they still look great!
