N55 Sudden Codes P1290 P0100 P15DF
Hey Forum,
2014 F30 335i 6MT MPPK and Dinantronics, 93k miles Had this car for about 2 years and haven't had any problems. Pulled into a gas station last week and when I came back and started the car it was running very rough, then shut off completely. Error codes, limp mode, etc. Shutoff and restarted multiple times. Car cranked for a while and wouldn't start. Let it sit for a few minutes, started again. No problems, but CEL on. I got the car home and ran the codes from OBD. P1290 P0100 P15DF are permanent codes. P0300 pending. All cylinders besides 3 have misfire codes pending. Also have P12B9 pending. I searched around on the forum a bit and I'm thinking that it could be the HPFP. However I found some info that suggested it could be related to the Dinantronics tuner or the MAF. I think I'll start by replacing the HPFP but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

If you are still having this issue you may want to return the car to stock tune and scan the codes again. I have an F36 N55 and was getting a few valvetronic codes that appeared out of no where. The car just started running very rough with no power. I was tuned with BM3 stage 1 when I read the codes. It was suggested to flash back to stock and then rescan the codes. I flashed back to stock and found a misfire in cylinder 6. Swapped the coil pack to cylinder 1 and the code followed. I replaced the coil pack with a delphi coil (which is what I have installed) and the issue was resolved. Coil pack was $30 on amazon and shipped in 2 days.
