MY 17 440i Gran Coupe Orders?

Anyone order a 440i yet? I am trying to decide between the 16 435i Gran Coupe and the 440i. I am partial to known quantity of the N55, especially with the mods that are available.

I'm biased as I just got a 16 435 GC last month. But the B58 is turning out to be a beast of a motor, especially if these edmunds results are repeatable:

http://www.edmunds.com/bmw/3-series/...ce-tested.html

Other than that, I don't see much value in iDrive 5 or CarPlay and those are most of the changes that are supposedly coming.

So really it comes down to 2016 discounts on remaining vehicles vs B58 and higher starting place for mods. Myself, N55 was good enough and the discounts were big enough that adding MPPK/MPE would still be below MSRP.

I drove the 340 and 435 with mppk back to back and the turbo lag has been greatly reduced. The difference was pretty big. The 340 or 440 with mppk will be a really really big difference.
So big that I was happy that BMW screwed up my order for the 435 and I am able to wait for the 440.
That said the 435 has a tried and true award winning engine with long term reliability while the B58 engine is too new to have any info on.

Are you going to have to change your name on here?

Wait for the B58. You'll be glad you did. This engine finally pulls up top like a naturally aspirated I6 with all the torquey goodness of the N series down low.

How did they mess the order up? I got a dealership saying they can still build a 435i GranCoupe, it seems a bit late in the process though

Built the car not to my order specs.
Unless your dealer still has June production allotment I don't see how he can still get you a 435GranCoupe unless he is going to take your order and try to trade another dealer for your car.

Pricing guides for the 440i in the US aren't out yet, last I checked.
