Jb Tune installed n55
really more of a 40-100 but you get the point. really brings the car alive. not quite the jb4 tune for the n54 but its well worth the money and makes the stock car seem slow in comparison. Easier than plugging in a new tv to a media center. |

Nice man, glad you like it. Appears to pull way harder up top which is where the stock tune fell on its face... Did you only plug in 2 of the connectors? Looking to pick this up in the near future

Too bad we can't program the auto to shift earlier as dynos show the car is dropping power around 6k rpm. Shifting at redline keeps it out of where it makes the most power unfortunately.

The video shows an analog real time MPG indicator. My 335i is digital. What type of F30 335i do you have? Do you not have Nav?
I am debating about getting the Burger Stage 1 and am trying to educate myself via this and other boards. The E90 board has harsh words for the JB4. While other boards are glowing about the JB4. Very confusing and hard to make a decision. Procede's box is suppose to come out shortly. Though, I'm beginning to lean towards the Burger Stage 1 from a cost standpoint. Did you buy any of the CAN reset stuff? Last edited by stom_m3; 01-28-2013 at 04:59 PM.. |

What kind of harsh words does the other board have about JB?

Yes just the 2 connectors. I had to take it in to service today, I literally pulled across the street and uninstalled in under a minute.

Overall I love Terry, his customer service is the best you will ever experience from any product. He gets back to you within 5 minutes usually. The install for this product is a joke, like screwing in a lightbulb, in 2 very specific spots. No tools required. For code clearing I had my CAN tool from my e90. |

I had the JB4 (stage 1 then 2) for 2 years on my N54 135i. Never any problems and great support from the BMS forum.

Based on the dyno chart for stock n55 in the f30s, I guess the ideal shift point would be around 6500-6600 rpm since the peak power happens around 6000 rpm.

Yea that's why I don't bother searching. I did once and that was enough. Obviously some opinionated folks out there!
