Tire size questions

Hi guys,
I am getting myself a set of 19" rim for my F30 xdrive.
Here is the size of the rims:

Front - 19" X 8.5" ET30
Rear - 19" X 10" ET45

I would like to ask get a set of Continental DWS 06 and the size are:

225/40/19
255/35/19

May I ask if the rear tire size would fit the 19" x 10" rim?
Do I need 265/35/19 on the back and 235/40/19 on the front for this set up to work? Thanks for any input!

235/40/19, 265/35/19 fits better on 19x8.5, 19x10 because the tires won't be stretched as much, the taller sidewall offers more impact protection, fills the fender well gap better and the speedo(which reads high from the factory) will read closer to actual.

Thanks a lot! But if I am not mistaken, the Continental DWS 06 do offer these sizes of tire. Are there any great all season tires in these sizes?

did a quick check on tirerack and i guess you'll have to go with 225/255 conti dws06. all of the tires will be stretching 20mm but it'll fit.

EDIT you could actually do 245/35/19, 285/30/19 conti dws06, if you aren't lowered, it's pretty wide in the rear, though...

here's a thread with 285/30/19 rear

I am planning to lower my car after winter.
Would the 245/40/19, 285/35/19 be better for now? Do they work with the stock suspension of the xDrive?

Please advise!

Thanks,

Thanks,
i'm not sure what you mean by "would it be better for now?"

in the thread above, except for the front wheel offset being 3mm greater, ray has the basically the same wheel spec and tire size combination lowered on hrss springs. he says no rubbing.

the sizes should work with stock suspension of x-drive

no guarantees of anything. my deductions and suggestions are based from info i get on the web and personal modding experience
