Photoshop'd CA License Plate: Black vs White

Hey all,

Here's a quick photoshop'd image of Jet Black vs Mineral White with California plates. The black has a license plate frame.

Anyhow, which do you prefer? I was dead set on Jet Black, but now I'm considering Mineral White.

Garage List
For the sport line I would go with white, if it was the luxury line, I would've chosen black instead because of the chrome

Good point, Svache. The black w/ chrome accent does provide nice "pop" on the Lux line.

Mineral White for me. Is it possible to have no license on the front bumper?

I agree with you SVache, especially i am getting a dark color Lux line, which allow the nice Pop as said by Bl@ster !

But for some reason here, in his case, i am going to say the opposite

Sport line - Black car
Luxury line - White car

with the slight preference for the Black car... (even tho i hate black cars)

Unfortunately, in Cali, you gotta have it. I can just defy it and deal with the tickets, but it's just a pain. I used to do that with my old car, until I got 3 tickets for no front plate in 1 day: One from Parking Enforcement. One from Torrance PD. One from LAPD. So the front plate stays on now.

Here's a weird one... last night, I saw a black BMW in front of me and he had the old old Black California plates. How did he get DMV to approve that???

I've always wanted one of the vintage black/yellow CA plates, but when I looked into buying one and transferring ownership, it seemed nearly impossible to accomplish. It's possible that the guy (or his family) just kept transferring the plate to newer cars since long ago.

Oh, and there's plenty of us CA residents who don't bother putting front plates on, but you have to be willing to pay fix-its and avoid street parking where there are meters since those are a guaranteed ticket. I've never actually been pulled over specifically for front plate, but they'll certainly tack it on if you get caught speeding, etc.

I really wish my state (Washington) would sell vintage looking plate styles. I'd pay a premium for it.
