Vitoco - you need to take a closer look. The taillights on F10/11 and F30/31 has an amber screen in the blinkers, so that the light is amber.
The amber screen is more noticeable on the 4-series which makes it look less "clean". |

Maybe the leds light up in amber, the f3x doesnt have leds so I assume they have to put in amber glass/shading or whatever...

Man, I really hate red indicators. They should ban 'em in the US. It sucks not knowing at a glance if a flashing taillight in traffic is a turn signal or someone tapping the brakes. It's especially bad when lanesplitting on the motorcycle.
In the dark ages of having just one bulb for the taillight at least it sorta made sense, but these days we have separate housings in virtually every car built, why add to the confusion with red indicators? Making the situation worse is the fact that many manufacturers use the turn signal color change for a 'refreshed' model, think E60 5 series in 2008 where they went to red indicators from amber. |

i dont understand why they make 2 different sets of lights when 1 of them is legal for all countries.
for example, i know amber turnsignals are legal in the US and europe...so why not just mass produce it and save a few bucks? is it really that necessary to have red turn signals ?
