It's true. He has no need for cameras.

bear in mind with the rear view camera in this weather you have to get out and clean the lense so it can give you a picture

Before I confirm my order, Do you really think the extra cameras with the view are really worth it?
Going from a Golf GTI to an F30 has been a bit of a step change for me sizewise as it will posssibly be for you. The Golf is so easy to place and park. I am finding it a tad difficult to place the F30, so in my case the surround view might have been a boon to start with. My ex has no such probelm as she has changed from a C Class to the F30. Basically, I am rubbish at parking.

I think that the surround view cameras will come in handy when pulling out of my drive, so that I don't end up with a cyclist smacking into the side of my car as they zoom along the pavements. As the surround view cameras have one in the side of the front wheel arch that looks both right and left at least 4-5 feet in front of your normal field of vision.

The Mrs has cameras on her car (and yes the rear one is always getting mucky this time of year). But to be fair, the camera has enabled her to park this close to the back wall of the garage four or five times a week for two years without putting a mark on the car bless her!

Getting lease quotes on 330d F31 msport at moment, current options are these.

Pro NAV
Harman Kardon
Adaptive M Sport Suspension
Visability Pack
Heated Front Seats
Electric Heated / Folding Auto Dimming Door Mirrors
Sun Protection Glass
Front Sliding Armrest
Telephone USB Audio Interface

Would love pano roof as have one on current e91 but it adds way too much.

Looks as though might need to add folding rear headrests too, can't stand them in the rear view.

Some good spec AUC cars around now but they are coming in more per month than a new leased car!

I watched the Which? road test of the F30 and they said the folding rear headrests was a 'must have' option, however I haven't found rear visibility with the fixed headrests to be a problem. Maybe it's different in the F31?

Gavp, I'm in the same boat getting lease quotes, which company have quoted you the best??

The cheapest I have found so far is £422p/m inc VAT with £1050 down for 23 months. No options allowed though as they are already ordered. That's on the saloon.

Have you had much better than that??

Cheers

Hi Nick
E91 Msport 330d with pro NAV and nothing else £469 inc vat, 3+35/12000 year no maintenance included.
Mine will be factory order, can't do without the toys.
Currently about £530 with all options I'm after included.

Have to have a tourer, dogs/kids etc though 90% time just me!

I am also ' rubbish at parking', and the reason is obvious.
I am always so worried about Kerbing my alloys, it makes me crap at parking !

Similar spec to mine. The only option I regret not getting is the rear camera all the rest are great options.

I do have the folding rear headrests as part of the comfort pack and they are handy.

I thought the rear visibility was poor in the saloon I had for four days - was hoping the estate would be better - if I get saloon will definitely make sure I get interior comfort pack to get folding headrests
