Need help finding a rattle

As the Title says: Whenever I have my new 340 in sport mode with the MPPSK under low speed load there is a slight rattle or buzz coming from near the passenger seat. I cannot discern if it is under the seat... In the door.

Anyone ever have a similar issue. It goes to the dealer in about a week to put the summers on, but I have no faith in them finding it.

Check the light underneath the door. Both of mine were loose and creating a rattle that was driving me crazy. I accidentally found the problem when I was drying the bottom of the door after a wash.

I have the same rattle on mine with MPPSK.

Some say it may be due to an exhaust heatshield being improperly installed or touching the exhaust for some reason. This seems more likely to me because my rattle is very RPM-dependent.

I also had a very similar rattle on my old e46 that did end up being a vibrating heat shield

Maybe I'll have them check it when I get my summer wheels on. It sounds like it could be coming from inside the car, but that could be a possibility.

Have you changed your cabin filter recently? The plastic cover can rattle if the right edge doesn't fit back in correctly when reinstalled.

Hoping the LCI cars are better for this, but my F30 has had more interior rattles than any other car I've daily driven (CHMSL cover, seat anchor covers, cabin filter cover panel, pillars and dash... what next??).

This is silly but my '15 seemed like it developed a new rattle every once in a while -- it always turned out to be some crap I kept in the arm rest console.

Sometimes sounds like dash, sometimes passenger seat. Always something bouncing in the arm rest. Remove that and gone. I never learn.

I just resolved a multi-month-annoyance rattle from under my passenger seat. It was a wire hanging loose that was supposed to be collected with its friends in a round plastic clip. Put your hand under the seat and and see if you can find a loose-hanging wire, go a bit further back and you'll find the clip. You can get any loose wires back into the clip by feel. Multi-month annoyance resolved in about 2 minutes.

Rattle

Picked up my 2018 440i with MPPSK about a month ago. Noticed a rattle that seemed to be under the passengers seat. Couldn't find anything loose. Called my CA, and she said if I could bring it in she could have it looked at immediately. Unreal service. The shop manager took a ride with me and clearly heard it. He put it up on a lift and dropped the exhaust down some himself. Said it tends to happen with some port installed, which mine was. Mounted a little too high and hitting a bolt that protrudes under the passenger seat. Rattle gone.

I think this may be the culprit. I messed with the wires under the seat, and the light in the door. I'll have them look next week when the car goes in.

I have a similar problem with my '17 F30 with the port installed MPPSK.

The dealer had the car for four days and could not resolve the problem.

Blubaron79, I sent you a PM with more specifics.
