47.1

Hello
does anyone here heard about where to find (rapidshare?) the new version 47.1 of the pszdata files? (for F10 production line July '12 ).

because I'll get the new multi-functional panel and I suppose, that older versions would perhaps fail general in coding .

Thx

Hi ramonE90-NL, check out my earlier post in this thread: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=501. I have not tried it on the E90s I previously drove. Actually this cable/sw is not for E90 so I have no idea if it works for E90s.

There are problems with 47.1m but 47.4 will be out very shortly, so I would not worry about being able to code the new hu-h (headunit high).

On my July build 2013 335i I was not able to read most of the CAF files. I am using the 46.3 files. Not sure if I would find more luck with a different data set? If so where the heck can I find the files!! I want terribly to code this. Any ideas?

Your error screen shows only 5 of 7, but you have 8 highlighted, so it's not clear which one of the 8 is working, although I think it is the 8th one.

In any event, I will send you a PM for the following:

cafd_000000f9.caf.007_003_007
cafd_0000067b.caf.002_003_131

cafd_00000a3f.caf.005_001_008 => cafd_00000a3f.caf.005_001_011 (Newer than 008)
cafd_000009c8.caf.005_000_030
cafd_000007a1.caf.005_022_028
cafd_000000b5.caf.010_004_001
cafd_00000223.caf.013_006_007

cafd_00000d37.caf.001_000_000

I do not have cafd_00000a3f.caf.005_001_008, rather I have cafd_00000a3f.caf.005_001_011, which is newer.

I can confirm some coding works on my 2013 build 335i. I have successfully coded disclaimers off, dvd in motion, top and side view camera stay on longer, tpms info, hp and tq instead of nm. HOWEVER, wether I messed up, the fact that mine is a 2013, or the fact that the dealer coded my car to ASS remember last setting. I do not know why, but after coding the FEM_BODY CAF I am unable to code FDL.... It gives me an error

"
FEM_BODY [40]
cdDeploy ProcessedWithError
cafd_00000794-004_122_077 ProcessedWithError
"
No idea what to do about this... I really want to code the keyfob to roll the windows up.

Does ur can have enhanced BT fitted from factory? I think there are 2 types of radio professional HU (i.e. 6.5" w/o nav), one for normal BT & one for enhanced BT/BMW Assist (i.e. w/either combox media or telematics).
So if u want the combox to work u may have to change the radio HU.

I think u can have Office & BT audio if u only have combox & 6.5" radio professional. For EU spec cars it comes with BMW Office & BT audio+cover art as long as BMW Assist (or enhanced BT) is fitted, no need to have nav of any sort (either Business or Professional nav).

U may only need a new radio professional HU that's compatible with combox. There are 2 different part numbers for the HU (EU-spec), one is for standard handsfree & the other is for 6NK/6NL (i.e. w/combox media or telematics).

I don't think this is available in North America but maybe Brazil??

"BMW Live provides virtually the same valuable web-based mobility services as the BMW Assist Online portal but all online connections are delivered from your smart phone. Therefore even if your vehicle is not equipped with a BMW Navigation system you can still have access to all the information you need along your journey. "

"A number of exciting new BMW ConnectedDrive services is provided by
BMW Live. A limited range of existing BMW online services can now be accessed via Bluetooth with any Internet-enabled mobile phone with an appropriate data plan. All of the available online services appear via a Bluetooth connection on the vehicle's display and can be accessed easily and intuitively via the iDrive Controller. The customer's mobile phone acts as a modem.

At the launch, BMW Live offers free RSS news feeds, weather information as well as Google Local Search, Google Panoramio and Google Street View. To activate his preferred news source, the customer simply needs to enter the desired domain. The portal automatically searches the related RSS feeds on the web page and offers to read the headlines out loud with BMW Text to Speech. In addition to displaying the current weather conditions, the weather service also provides a four-day weather forecast on the monitor.
The Google services Local Search, Panoramio and Street View work just like standard BMW Online. The home page offers location selection, keyword input, categories and history. The addresses resulting from conducting a local search can be used as a destination and passed directly to the vehicle's navigation system. In addition, by using the iDrive controller, location-based images of the destination from Google Street View and Panoramio can be selected and displayed – even during the journey. BMW Live, the new service from BMW ConnectedDrive, is now available in the new BMW 1 Series. Customers can easily configure it themselves and set it to meet their individual needs. Further applications for BMW Live will be available soon throughout the world (except for the USA, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan)."

It may be able to be coded. Here is a video explaining BMW Live.

BMW Live is available in EU as a standalone option for around 100-150Euros. It is only available without nav & without telematics (BMW Assist). Also seems like no combox is necessary. Oddly, in Germany u can only have BMW Live if u don't spec enhanced BT, whereas in UK if u want BMW Live u must also have enhanced BT.
I think features such as BMW Office & BMW Live are already all built into the radio professional HU/combox, all u need is to activate the feature in some way.

Pretty sure there is an option to activate BMW live in the HU folders. Will check it out and see if it works.

BMW Live can be coded, but it is much easier for those with a Multimedia Combox as Opposed to a Telematics Combox, as we have here stateside. With a Telematics Combox, BMW Assist and BMW Live can not coexist, so BMW Assist needs to be removed from the VO, but without also removing Bluetooth functionality.

Beyond that, if you reside in a country where BMW Live is not offered, you have to write a European VIN # into both the CIC and Combox, and code your Combox to use the coded VIN # instead of the MOST Bus VIN # (i.e. your car's actual VIN #), as follows:

TELEMATIK_VIN = Coding_VIN /Werte=01

This fools the BMW Live Portal servers into thinking you are authorized their use.

The difficulty here is writing the VIN Numbers to the Combox and CIC. While this can easily be done on an Exx Chassis with NCS Expert, I have yet to see a way to do so in E-Sys, and Tool32 lacks a known .prg / job for doing so as well.

If you can get passed that, or you are lucky enough to have a Multimedia Combox and live in a BMW Live allowed country, then you would just Code your CIC as follows:

CONNECTED_DRIVE = aktiv / Werte=01
ONLINE_BROWSER_LIVE = aktiv / Werte=01

I think that ought to get it done.

How abt cars w/o CIC & only with combox media? Or for cars with neither nav nor combox? In Germany BMW Live can only be ordered with 2NH (the basic BT) & w/o nav. In UK BMW Live can only be ordered with 2NK (enhanced BT w/o telematics) & again w/o nav.

As far as I know, BMW Live requires:

- SA609 - Navigation Professional
- SA6VC - Combox

I would be very surprised that it works with anything less.

No it doesn't, not on EU/ROW-spec F20/30 anyway.
For German market, BMW Live is only available with 6NH (if u spec 609 & 6NK/NL it deletes it). For UK market it's only available with 6NK, it deletes it if u spec 609.
Also, the video above stated specifically that it is for cars not equipped with nav (either business or professional).

I didn't hear that mentioned in the video?

Here is part of the quote from http://www.bmw.connecteddrive.info/e...ticle/101.html

"The addresses resulting from conducting a local search can be used as a destination and passed directly to the vehicle's navigation system. "
