Melb - New 435i owner, a few brief questions

Guys,

I've just sold my C63 and pick up my 435i tomorrow, it's Mineral Grey with a few options, including front carbon lip and rear spoiler carbon lip.

I have had a good look through existing threads and wanted some feedback on buying carbon parts etc, what sites in peoples opinions give the best results/prices in terms of buying online?

I want to buy the following
- Carbon mirrors
- Rear carbon diffuser
- Black gloss kidney grills
- Carbon/performance interior
- Metal foot pedals

Can these guys be bought online from e.g http://stores.ebay.com.au/3amotor-AU..._sid=140576303 or potentially from http://www.pasco-hk.com/ or http://www.getbmwparts.com/

I am keen to get reasonably good quality but don't want to pay more than I need.

Also I am looking to have it tunes, have any Melbourne tuners had good or bad experiences?

Thanks - looking forward to the new car

http://www.bmraw.com/4-series-f32/ another alternative

why the switch from the c63 btw? I am about to do the opposite.

Why spend north of $100k on a car and skimp out on the CF parts? Sure the BMW Performance parts come at a premium but the quality is solid and they fit perfectly. Also better for resale if you have genuine BMW parts IMO.

I decided my 2010 C63 was starting to get a little long in the tooth and couldn't justify the cost of a new M3 or new AMG C63. I sold the C63 well and bought the 435i well.

I am keen to get some carbon pieces on it to further compliment it. Does anyone know if it's easy enough to remove this blue trim throughout the interior - i really despise it http://resources.carsguide.com.au/st...e_interior.jpg

fair enough, 435i is a good sensible upgrade from the 2010 c63. Get the akrapovic exhaust for the 435i .

I am going to more than likely fit the akrapovic exhaust and have it tuned

Does anyone know if you can buy anything aftermarket to replace all the blue interior accents? Thinking along the lines of the piano black

you can always get the Mperf CF ones? or the piano black OEM ones.

Else if you do not want to get new parts - theres always the option of getting it wrapped! - pretty much any vinyl shops should be able to do it

AFAIK you can't just replace the blue "accents" you have to replace the whole pieces.

Congrats on the new car. Some CF bits, tune and exhaust will make it much more enjoyable.

We tuned an F30 335 today. This car is also getting a downpipe, cold air intake and IPE exhaust, will post a sound clip up when done.

185rwkw stock
225rwkw tuned

Should see 250rwkw on 98 with the dp, cai and exhaust and ~280rwkw with an e85 blend.

Thank Stuart, great gains.

What was your pricing on the IPE exhaust and the tune?

What downpipe and CAI will you run with?

Has anyone got any recomendations with the rear diffuser? There is one on Pasco-HK, http://www.pasco-hk.com/index.php?ro...product_id=145 or is there a carbon one people would recommend?

The tune for this particular car was $845 as it has the pnematic wastegate (early F30). Most F30s have the electronic wastegate and the tune is $945.

The downpipe, we will use the ar design one and one of our own BMR Tuning cold air intakes.

The IPE is $4,995 + $440 for the black chrome quad tips this customer has optioned.

Will create a new thread later this week with full details / pics / videos so I don't hijack your thread

As an alternative to the M performance one I have this one available for $1,050
