Has anyone got any further info on this? Does it apply to Australia?

I'm wanting to know this too as looking at the recall my car lies within the production dates requiring a new hpfp. I don't want to find out by not being able to start the car or worse having the car stall on me whilst doing 100km/h.

came across this recall website for Australia run by the government, and this recall was put on there on the 12th of April 2015.

https://www.recalls.gov.au/content/i...itemId/1069725

There was also a pdf file in the link, that outlines the VIN #'s affected. Was also mentioned that the date of sale (not sure what this means?) was 1st Oct 2013 - 1st April 2014, so I'm assuming only affecting cars sold during that period??

Doesn't look like it. Instead it would seem a certain batch of pumps.

From the govt site linked above:

Dates available for sale
1st October 2013 - 1st April 2014
