Anyone with adaptive, ACS and in Scot?

As per title, is there anyone in Scotland that has the adaptive suspension and has upgraded the springs with ACS?

And obviously is happy to show me the car for it's handling characteristics, please?

The reason I ask is because I'm not sure I need it - but I feel I may need it ( ), and the best way for me to figure that out is by experiencing one.

I am based in Aberdeen with the occasional visit to Dundee, so preferably someone close to these areas would be best.

If you go past Stirling nip in to Douglas Park. Calum in the parts department has ACS on his 435d. Not sure if he has adaptive though...

I hear what you're saying, along with most people here.

But I'm not sure if I need them, I don't want it to be an expensive mistake.

Although mine was a 4 series. The look and feel of the car made it worth every £££. Having adaptive is more about the damping feel than firmness. Yes the ACS's did firm the ride very slightly. But the Adaptive takes any harshness out.

When you say the look and feel of the car made it worth every £££, I'm honestly too bothered by the standard ride height. And in terms of feel, well that's what I want to try and gauge before I commit to it.

Reason I am dubious is because I really do enjoy the comfort of this suspension, moreso than I initially imagined I would.

I don't want to have it changed then be regretting it afterwards.

BUT, I need to see/feel the pros/cons as far as standard ride comfort vs handling as well.

You say the ACS's firmed up the ride but only very slightly, perhaps I'm thinking about this too much, if there isn't a whole lot of change as far as ride comfort is concerned?

I sadly dont have the adaptive suspension but I can confirm the ACS springs make a huge difference and I am more than happy having fitted them.

If i hadn't of driven 150 miles to have it done. Then jumped straight into the car and drove home. Maybe had given it a day between. i doubt i would have noticed it. But as you say. maybe best to try one.

Comfort mode is still comfortable with Adaptive and ACS, it soaks up all the little bumps. Every passenger I have had in the car has commented on how smooth and comfortable it is.

Hi, Yes I have adaptive suspension and the ACS springs fitted, and yes I come to Aberdeen once a month. Unfortunately I fly there leaving the car at the airport.

I definitely recommend doing it, you will notice the difference at high speed braking and cornering. Best thing i did. If I drive up I will drop you a line
