$5000 off msrp for 320i

Hi,

Currently shopping around for a base 320i for my folks. The msrp on the car is around 36k and with no haggle, the dealership is offering $5k off. Has anyone been able to do better than 5k off? I am planning to use my $1k from UDE plus $500 for conquest cash so that should be another $1500 off from that? Would it be realistic if I aim for a total of $7000+ discount off msrp on my deal? I think that would be a steal for a brand new barebone 320i at the price range...

What is the Invoice? I'm assuming it's MY13, is it new or a demo?

yes, it is MY13 brand new..not sure what the invoice is..the only options are metallic paint and nav...I am assuming the discount is coming from the 2k that BMW is offering to the dealerships..personally, i would never buy a stripper like that but works well for my folks so these type of 320 may be a hard sell for the dealers?

Ok, that makes sense now. So, the dealer's offers is only $3,000 off from MSRP.

Having all other financial info, would be helpful to determine, if it's a really good deal. I just saw a deal on another forum, where it seemed like the OP had a great discount from MSRP, but somehow his payments were way too high. His dealer found a way to charge him more.

It works like a magic trick, a dealer using distraction with a low price offer, only to charge a buyer more somewhere else on a deal

oh no, the $5000 off msrp is offer from the dealer without my $1k UDE plus $500 conquest cash...I m definitely going to shoot for more than $6500 off msrp with considering I have UDE plus conquest..

You are doing it wrong. Find out the invoice price first, shoot for 200-400 over invoice. Then subtract 2000 build out cash, 1000 UDE and then 500 loyalty ( come from drive off I think).

You will know the correct price then.

6500 off msrp or whatever has no meaning.

Then make sure you get buy rate for money factor. That should be mostly it.

Dealer's offer is only $3k off MSRP
$2k comes from BMWNA for all MY13 3 series, build out credit
$1k comes from BMWNA for MY13 and MY14, UDE participants
$500 conquest - I'm not familiar with
$500 comes from BMWNA, loyalty credit
$500 (up to) comes from BMWNA, turn key credit toward 1st payment
USAA credit comes from BMWNA
$1000 comes from BMWNA, new grad credit
missed something else? Comes from BMWNA

Smile bigger discount

Traded in a 6k car.

MSRP from 40696 to 36000 out the door.

Lease haggling from $350 without tax to $292 a month (tax included already).

320i XDrive, Nav, fold down seats, wood trims, and power seats.

I looked up how much the dealer made through true price, it was about $500 since I got them to make the lease 0% as well. I am going to buy the car after the lease is over if it is reliable.

It took 4 hours, two salesmen, and comparison of the 320 and X1. I haggled for one then haggled for another. http://www.f30post.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.gif
