Removal of snap in adapter prep

I have a 2015 GT and it has the snap in adapter preparation.

I would like to remove this (removed it from my F30 as well) and fit a second USB.

Does anyone know if the centre consoles are identical to the F30 and where you can get the attached part with the USB port?

I believe they are the same but if you have big nbt unit, this usb wont fit.
