Help Ordering BMW Individual

Any tips on ordering BMW Individual options? I'm trying to get them on a 2016 340i, and local dealer says only the exterior color is possible. Doing this with European Delivery, so they should be able to order whatever the factory offers.

Makes no sense to me since the BMW.com configure tool shows all of it. See pictures attached.

X02 - Citrin Black
??? - 19" V-spoke Style 626 I wheels
AWT - Cohiba brown leather
XE7 - piano black trim
4DM - Pearl chrome accents

If another dealer or ED specialist can help make this order happen, please do reply or private message me.

AFAIK, none of the F30 individual leathers are certified for U.S. sale. Something about airbag sensors or something.

Since you apparently have deep pockets, why not an M3? You can go hog-wild on individual options, right on the configurator.

You might be able to get the leather dash, but I doubt anything else.

BTW, which configurator is that? Looks like a german flag at the bottom but the site is in english.

That doesn't actually make sense since they will sell the same BMW Individual leathers on M3, 5-series, or 7-Series.

Not interested in an M3, just prefer those options to the standard ones.

The F80, the F10, and the F01 are no F30. That is why Merino leather is not available in the USA F30 as it was not US crash certified with that leather (seat airbag sensors). The other chassis were USA certified. That is straight from Individual.

This is very simple... request it and then let us now how fast BMWNA tells you no.

The rest of your Individual options will have no problem in their approval. BMW of Austin did this for a Bimmerpost member, so they should not have any problem ordering your Individual F30: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1137510

ED does not change the equation. ED cars can only be ordered to U.S. spec per the current order guide. Do not rely on BMW.com. since not all combinations are available for U.S. models.

That said your CA can call BMW NA and request a certain color for approval. If BMW NA approves though be prepared to pay an arm, leg, and first born. For a 3 especially its cost prohibitive.

You can order an individual color and also the leather dash, but that is it. If you want trim changed, you will have to do so with an aftermarket product.

I asked about trim and the nutmeg leather seats when I was ordering a 435 but the only thing BMW would allow me to change was the exterior color.

Same for me...wanted Nutmeg but settled for Oyster...picking up Tanzanite Blue 435 GC on 6/29 in Munich, believe me I tried, seems the crash test issue is a reality for the 3/4 series...unless you choose an M3/M4...doesn't make sense to me either that they could put it in the M Cars but not the 3/4 but sometimes it's just the way it is...A guy in Sweeden has a 435i Coupe with Tanz. Blue and Nutmeg which is where I got the idea in the first place Good luck!

Just wondering if anyone has gotten a non-individual color permitted. For instance, getting mediteranian blue on a 2016 4-series. So not specifically an individual color, but another color BMW makes as an individual color.

I wonder if they finally did the crash tests for 3/4 series for the 2016 models... apparently this guy ordered his 2016 F36 with Nutmeg Merino and was approved by BMWNA
