2016 340i no signal on screen

My brothers f30 328 stereo has no sound. So he asked me if I can remove my radio to try it on his car to see if it has sounds with my radio. So my radio did not work since it had some connection a bit different. I put my radio back on my car and now I have a no signal on my screen. I removed the radio and made sure all my connections are good but no luck. Has anyone had this issue or knows what to check. Thank

Check your connections again. Check the fuse.

Do you have sound? If you have sound ignore what is below and check your LVDS plug seating.

Since everything worked before you removed your HU, there can be only these causes:

1. connection not making (very likely)
2. fuse (not likely since you have audio)
3. HU failed (very unlikely)
4. LVDS cable (pink/purple) not seated (very likely)

If nothing else was touched after you took out the HU, it should work as before if you put it back in the same way. The likelihood of your HU failing during the short time you had it out your brother's car and back to yours...is near impossible.

Are you sure that the quadlock is seated properly? It may look like it is. This is the most likely culprit. DO you have MOST?

Then, I would get a multimeter/voltmeter and check for voltage at pin 12 GND and pin 15 Power of the quadlock.

Thanks again for the info. I will recheck the connections and the power on the connector. Hopefully something is loose or not in right
