I have an F36 with 18" 400M alloys. I wanted to fit a set of 19" BBS CH-R reps. When I was having the tyres fitted on the BBS, the tyre fitter asked if I had a set of TPMS to fit on the new wheels. I'd completely overlooked the TPMS, so we attempted to fit the ones from the 400M wheels.

However, they wouldn't fit as the sensors required a machined flat seat.

Anyway, to cut a 3 week long story short. I researched a bunch of TPMS and found that VDO do a sensor that fixes to the inside of the tyre rather than the valve stem, they don't require any programming and just need a TPMS reset performing on the car (using the idrive, the same method as if the tyre pressure had changed and the sensors needed resetting).

There are also pretty good value if you shop around. I managed to get a set of 4 for £120.
