How to remove this light scratch?
Looks like someone reversed into my parked car and left a small dent and some scratches. I was able to use my fingernail and scrape off some off the gray so it doesn't seem like it's very deep.
Can you guys recommend a product I can put on to easily remove the gray marks? I was thinking Meguiar's G10307 ScratchX 2.0 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002UNON8/) |

Doesn't look bad at all. Any mild compound/polish should work, scratch X, Megs UC, etc with a microfiber cloth

Hit it with a medium clay bar using higher pressure than normal, that should get everything off the surface. Any scratches left over will most likely need to be handled with some polish. But the paint transfer will be handled with the clay bar.

Update:
I used Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, followed the instructions (apply slight pressure, circular motion, etc.) and it didn't do shit. Then I used the generic nail polish remover from Target for $1.29 and it wiped it off so easily in one clean swipe. |

Way to go, but acetone is a little harsh, so you should make sure you seal and wax that area to protect your paint.
That dent though.... |

I have a dent around the same place, more of scratch that's not as deep, not sure about PDR in my case, I was thinking maybe a little bondo and touch up paint. Did you plasti-dip your rims?

I had a guy pdr the wife's Pathfinder- it had a dent on the tailgate that looked like someone body checked the car...the guy was a wizard and took the whole thing out without any creases. I would do that before bondo and touch up paint.

Man I hope no one leaves this thread thinking that using a Magic Eraser on a car is a way to skin the cat. Definitely a way to totally remove the skin on a car though. The chemicals in that are abrasive. Not the sponge. I cannot think of a single circumstance where that's a good idea. Just my two cents.
