6MT + MPPK - Your post 1K impressions?

The backstory:

After years of being chained to a Honda, I'm finally following my heart and am going with a bimmer - handling, engine performance and general drivability were what steered me to BMW, and I settled on the 335i as the car of choice. I wanted a 6MT (not averse to auto though) just because I've never had one before and I really like driving stick.

So, test drives followed. I made the initial mistake of test driving a E92 335is, and man oh man, I was in love. The engine sound, the torque overboost, the ferociousness, it just made me swoon. However, it was a coupe and with intentions of starting a family in a year or so, I couldn't justify it.

Shifted focus to the F30 335i - neither the auto nor the manual felt like the 335is, though the auto definitely felt closer. For some reason, the 6MT felt a little underwhelming - the lag was evident, and it just wasn't as responsive as I would have liked.

After a ton of research (including crawling the posts in this forum), I decided to go with a custom order for a MSport + 6MT + MPPK port install. I didn't go for the dynamic handling package.

But now, I'm starting to second guess my order...so here's the question:

For folks with the 6MT + MPPK and have driven at least 1K, what are your impressions? How's the steering (esp with it feeling somewhat light + dead off center)? How's the torque + power ? Does it give you butterflies in your stomach? Is it still fun to drive? Or do you feel underwhelmed?

I love the 335i with the MPPK (I have MPE as well, so it sounds as great as it performs). I love the 6-speed and it really enhances the overall driving experience. The car is a blast to drive and I can't stop smiling every time I drive the car.

Can you postpone your order for the upcoming 340i? My advice is to wait for the one that will have upgrades that might reflect your driving habits a bit more.

I have a 2014 335xi 6MT with MPPK + MPE.

Having come from a 2009 135i and about 8 months of driving the car, I find myself looking for more. I always felt like the 135i was fun to drive and once I switched (forced to switch since car was rear ended and written off) I always reminisce about the 135. lol.

That's why I created this thread:

I would add DHP.

You could cancel and wait for the 340i but who knows the reliability yet. Although the power is pretty equal to the MPPK so you could save that money.

Tires are important too. Get some PSS for the summer.

I've have a '15 6MT+DHP+MSport without MPPK. Still loving every second. I normally drive in Comfort mode when puts around in town. There's plenty of lag in that mode but you get used to it. But when I need some instant power, I switch to Sport mode and all hell breaks loose.

I have 2015 6MT, M PPK, MPE and the DHP. Previous cars were 2009 135 6MT and a 550 6MT. The 135 by far was the most fun to drive. The 550 was fun but only in a straight line since it felt really floaty the moment you steered off center. The 335 is kinda in between them. I'm getting shockware installed next week as a start to get better handling. As is, I love my 335 and it was the right decision to custom order it exactly the way I wanted. I couldn't find a 6MT anywhere.

i just got my 335 month ago. M sport DHP 6mt. Just hit 1200. Also hit a flying rock from the CalTrain on the freeway. Ugh.

Anyway, at this point if I were you I'd wait for the 340. Power boost, efficiency boost, track package.

Oh. And saddle brown interior.

Only downside? I don't want the 6MT to rev match for me .
