So thinking of getting apple car play retro fitted into the F31 but I was wondering / hoping someone near Leeds has a trim removal set and a Torx driver I could use / someone help me remove the front to get to the head unit for beer tokens!

Did you not read the Yorkshire bit I'm tight as owt I'd rather spend £10 on beer than a tool I'd literally use once seems a waste if someone has some laying around.

It would seem it needs an ariel being installed which needs to be plugged into the back of the head unit and then it should work. Had my car vin checked and doesn't have it

Nope it makes my car seem a poverty spec now but I thought I'd specc'd it fairly sensibly.

Hahahaha so so true! To be fair being an apple fan I'll let them shaft me. And yes you're going to say why not get it from the start and it was purely because it was expensive and didn't have as many good features as now e.g. Waze
