Snowboard Rack?

Did a quick search, there's a thread for roof racks but it's mostly regarding bicycle racks. Anyone have a snowboard/ski setup? How much did you guys pay and please post pics! Seems like getting a yakima setup is $500+ and thule isn't much cheaper....

Typically you get a set of bars, then use accessory clamp-ons for specific uses. That way one set of bars can be used with anything from snowboards to kayaks. You drive a BMW, a $500 rack shouldn't be a deal breaker.

Cheapest way would be to find a used OEM rack system off eBay. You can find one for about $150 if you keep looking. Then you need the actual snowboard carrier/attachment, which ranges from $120-$250 depending on what you want. If you're on a budget, I'd recommend "SPORTRACK's Groomer Ski & Snowboard Rack." I've seen it in person and was impressed for its price ($120). Looks nicer than Thule's carrier too IMO. Personally, I went with Thule's AeroBlade system in black with their snowboard attachment. Wasn't cheap (nearly $800), but I've seen it on F30's and it looks awesome. Also, I don't want my snowboard flying off and hitting someone's windshield

I have the OEM crossbars (~$220), Inno wind fairing (~$70), and Thule ski rack (~$120). So around $400 total. I'll snap a pic and post it up when I get the chance.

Which model ski/snowboard rack did you go with for Thule

If it's wide enough for two it should take four with paired boards placed back to back.

M-sport with Thule black aeroblade system and Thule snowboard attachment. Couldn't be more happier with the way it looks.
