While I'm not sure of the legality, I'm sure tinting them limo black will give police an excuse to stop you if they wanted to. There are some wraps called "fly eyes" or something, which are a mesh that cover the light and are supposedly road legal/pass MOTs, but I've not tried them myself.
I do have my inner rear lights tinted (pic) and have done for the past few months without being stopped, but that might be down to the actual brake lights not being tinted |

I don't know about the police, but you'll have a hard time seeing where you're going at night.

If you do this to an F30, I'm sorry you don't deserve to have an F30.
Go buy a Citroen Saxo. |

Well everyone has a different taste to what they wana get done on there car, im sure if you was to check out how it looked on an alpine white you might like it. Your f30 look really decent did you buy your front spliter in gloss black or you get it done. |

Thank you kindly, the splitter, I got it painted gloss black bud, they all come matt black when you buy them. Look honestly about the tint on the lights, it is of course your car and you can do what you wish with it, but in my opinion and probably the majority of the forum, limo black lights are a little ricer looking, if you are wanting to tint them, I recommend a light tint over all the lights, this gives a more aggressive effect that you are looking for, but still retains the classy look of a new BMW. |

There's an estoril blue X6M that does the rounds near my work in Birmingham, they have a dangerously dark tint on theres.. if anything it makes the lights look yellow. I recently swapped out all of my incandescent bulbs on the rear of the car to 80w LED's, now to anyone right up my arse they'll be dazzling bright so it's a perfect excuse for me to slightly tint them. I quite prefer the dark red colour over full black too. If you face any light issues when tinting the rears then maybe that could be an option?

I think I agree with @producerlawson though, blacking out the housings would look better than tinting the headlights imo |

i think there are certain mods which make car look cheap and old and Tinting taillights / headlights is one of them IMO .
I for one will not recommend for BMW . |
