Alcantara/Carbon M Sport Steering Wheel

Hey everyone! I am looking into adding more of attracting look to my interior and doing that I want to go with carbon fiber. I've been looking around and ECS Tuning has one I like a lot but they say that "it only fits on F30 with manual transmission". I'm wondering if anyone would know if this would work on an automatic? IND Style sell one and they don't state anything about the steering wheel only working for manual transmissions. PLEASE HELP ME OUT

If you're willing to lose your paddle shifters, the wheel will work.

My car doesn't have paddle shifters so I'm guessing it should be fine correct?

Honestly I don't see an issue if your cars does or doesn't have paddle shifters as it looks like they use a bmw steering wheel frame and has the necessary holes to retain paddle shifters. Nonetheless, if your car doesn't have paddle shifter, there should be no issue.

I can't say for sure, but I don't see how the steering wheel has anything to do with manual or automatic unless you have paddle shifters. I'd email ECS and ask them about it. It's not exactly cheap.

Yeah i think the only difference is whether or not it can accommodate paddle shifters. The paddle shifter-friendly wheels have a small hole where a locating pin from the paddle shifter assembly fits into. So again, if you don't need or want paddle shifters, this wheel will work.

And even if you DO want to go with paddle shifters in the future, you can simply drill a hole for them - as seen in this video:

Thank you all for the help! I'll be looking into upgrading to this carbon steering wheel!
