I remember the stuff leaking from my driver's door bottom corner when I had my 320i E36 - my first BMW. That's when I learned about it.

Haven't seen any aussie posts regarding the vibrations, I was thinking of changing the wheels at the dealership for the 395 style but now I think I should stick with the ones they built the car with and balanced with also just in case I end up,with vibrations. My X5 had the wheels changed at the dealer and they are wearing unevenly now and was told the alignment was correct by them. Anyone having the vibrations from the south Africa builds?

Ya Drk280 was wondering the same thing myself... The 328 I tested was free from such issues. I'm starting to wonder if it was isolated to the US batches.

BMW VIN shows my build date as 30-08-2012, yet W&W doesn't have records of my VIN..
Hoping it's on the next ship...

This question has probably been asked a thousand time (though I couldn't find the answer in my brief search), but does the production date - for example on BMW VIN - indicate the date of completion or the date of commencement?

(eg. from bmwvin.com: "Prod.date 2009-09-25", and from sticker under the bonnet, build date is "OCT.09". Also, it was booked for shipping at Durban on "19-10-2009"). |

I also got a spreadsheet from the dealer, it shows 'build date' as 04-09-2012 vs 30-08-2012 from BMWVIN
Hoping it's on the next ship out

There's abit of a lag to when it appears on the vin and tracking website. For me I only saw it on the bmwvin website after the build was finished.
No worries boys they're on the way =) |

Did your car make it to the ship called Faust? My build is one day from yours latte but the tracking website seems to be down this g giving me an error. Do you put in the complete Vin number in the cargo field ?
