These reviews are absolutely worthless. They like the BMW's steering while another review hates it. They hate the iDrive screen while just about every other review loves it. Also, there 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are lower then other reviews and I really REALLY doubt that the Merc does 0-60 in 6.4 sec. Mercedes says 7.1 and I think that's pretty close to what it really does.

The bit about the George Lucas shifter was pretty lame.

Why did Mercedes build a 1.8 Turbo when Audi and BMW are using 2.0s???

It really does. The AMG body treatment is great. The merc also has a nicer ride then the F30. It is just underpowered (compared to the competition) with a so-so transmission. That combined with the inability to turn off the traction control and the car just isn't fun to drive.

I love this video because it's the first time I've seen Glacier Silver Metallic in a Sport Line. That's what I have on order. And I think it looks great here, especially with the black side mirror caps and blacked-out grill.

I don't know about the black door trim (I'd have preferred chrome) and, especially the Coral Red interior. I ordered black.

Completely agreed. Before the facelift, the C looked great on the outside but very cheap on the inside. Now with the facelift, it's a whole new ball game. It is my favorite interior in the segment at this point, with the only steering wheel among the competition that I would rate above that on my M sports E90.

Yes I loved the steering wheel too on the C, great design. But as MickNugget says the driving experience plus economy plus technology meant F30 for me. And the free maint... 👍

I would also choose the F30 over the C class if it was for me. But if it was for my wife, I think the C, especially with the substantial discount that you can have, would be a better choice.

I guess I'm the only here who's going to say this, but I absolutely hate the interior of the Mercedes. It's like they need a button and knob for just about everything. Not to mention the way they build the screen in the dash and the steering wheel. I'm almost getting stressed when looking at the MB's interior, it's just way too crowded, there's simply no peace and quiet in the cabin.

svache... you just stole the words away from my mouth...

i have to admit tho: the exterior of the C-Class is superior to the 3...
but
I despise the interior of the Merc... I much prefer the clean look of the F30

Why are they comparing the 328i to the C250 instead of the C300. The C300 is closer to the 328i in power and price.

Taste is certainly subjective, but I'm surprised you would consider the F30 interior to offer more "peace and quiet" compared to that of the C class. I personally find the C class interior to be MUCH more conservative and low key, compared to the dash comb over, red stripe, textured wood, etc of the F30.

I'm not saying the F30 interior is bad at all, but I would never call it peace and quiet, personally.

Also, one more word about the C class interior. Upon closer inspection, the HVAC control is quite remarkably cheap feeling, dampening my enthusiasm somewhat. I was shocked to learn that those same flimsy controls are found in the CLS, CL, and even in the SLS AMG. That is a disgrace. Still, overall a very nice interior for the class.

When comparing the two interiors (328 vs. C250) almost all of the co-workers preferred the Merc. I love the steering wheel and display in the center of the speedo.

I agree that the HVAC controls feel cheap. I also don't care for the primary colors on the COMAND screen. They are grey and tan. Also, if you don't get navigation, the screen is VERY small. It was small to the point that you almost have to get nav to make it usable.

One thing I can't stand in modern cars (last 8 years or so) is the fad design of the instrument cluster using "round tunnels" for the tachometer and speedometer. I think it's an ugly design!

Everyone uses this! Nissan to Buick!

Those C class Mercedes feel very cramped inside. The back seats are worthless for 6foot adults.

Anybody notice the 3's one fog light on while it was cornering? What's that about?

The Merc is cheaper, and I think more heavily discounted... The BMW blows it away for the price... The F30 had tech that used to only be on 5 and 7 series...

I've seen several reviews not liking the placement of the iDrive screen. The screen itself looks good but the placement has been much criticized for looking like someone slammed an iPad into the top of the dash.
