Window Tint In South Florida

I have been using the same guy on all of my cars for years. At the moment, he is super busy on some residential jobs and cannot get to my car for a while. I was hoping someone can recommend a mobile tint guy that can come to my office and tint my car this week. He uses Lumar tint and charges me $120.00 to do my car and has always done a great job. Can someone recommend someone comparable?

Thanks!

For $120 you will likely get Llumar ATC, a dyed film. I recommend a better film such as Llumar CTX (ceramic enhanced film) or better yet 3M color stable or Crystalline.

Very likely you are looking at $250+ for any of the ones I'm recommending but the heat rejection is significantly better than Llumar ATC.

As far as dealers are concerned, I cannot recommend as I've yet to find one I'm thrilled with. Llumar or 3M.

I'm a fan of plotter cut films and it seems that no one (except Tint World) wants to plotter cut films (and Tint World uses Suntek which I am no fan of). Plotter cut film typically fits better and the installer has no need to take a razor blade into your car. Just seems that shops in South Florida are either too cheap to buy a quality plotter and good template software and/or they're too lazy to load/unload the films and take the time to allow the plotter to cut for them.

We live in a shortcut world down here!

One more thing, I also recommend you not use a mobile guy unless you have an enclosed garage for him to do the install. Avoid tinting outside or in open areas as debris can easily get on your glass/tint causing defects in the finished product.

I have always gotten Lumar and paid $120. I have always been very happy with it and never had any issues, plus I only keep the car a year so I don't need something that will last a life time. I just got off the phone with a place called Brian's Window Tinting and they have 3M and SunTech and quoted me $129 for Lazor cut. So I think I am just going to go with them.

Only a rich man can afford cheap work... Think about that one...

If you care to drive up North a bit to Jupiter, David Wood Tinting does all the cars for Braman Jupiter, and they've done all of my cars. Excellent work. I had Llumar FormulaOne Pinnacle all the way around and the Airblue 80 on the windshield, all done for $340. Incredibly happy with the results.

340 is insane! I went to tint world and ended up paying $150 and it looks great. I don't understand how people can pay $300+ on tint.

Insane to you I guess. I'm happy and with a lifetime warranty, I don't have to worry about it. Glad you got what you wanted.

idk what I have, in 15 years of tinting cars I have never had any issue with my window tint. It looks great and keeps me cool. I don't see the issue.

Did you get your car tinted? If you did, how did it come out? How did you like the service? Recommend? Sorry for all the questions, looking to tint my car in the next week or 2

Don't mean to bump this from the dead but does anyone have a good recommendation on a tint shop?

I want something that wont interfere with the electronics (radar especially) but also offer premium heat rejection. Looking for a 30% tint, in miami/boca area.

I moved away from where I used to go regularly for tint work so don't have a good shop anymore.

I paid a small fortune for mine at tint world, but heat was a huge issue for me. I got the best film they had which blocks 80% infrared heat. Still hot as heck in a black car but at least I'm not sweating when I'm driving now.
They did a good job but somehow the solution they used which is allegedly just baby shampoo and water, made the original coating on the door cusp to bubble. I brought it up with them, but they refused responsibility. My interior is mint otherwise, until then.
