I had that problem and found somewhere to download but can't find the link anymore even after going through my browser history.
PM me and I sort you out with the file.

Thanks to this forum thread I've successfully updated my 328i with Pro Nav to the latest maps.
I bought a cable from Amazon, less than a tenner delivered. I downloaded the esys software and maps from the provided links, it took around 8 hours to download the maps on my fairly poor internet connection. I followed the instructions carefully from the top of this thread. The first time I generated a key it did not work. This was because I had entered the command line for the base64 utility in lower case. It seems the parameters and hence VIN MUST be in capitals. I went into nav with the ignition on but engine off. I then put the first USB stick in, it takes perhaps 30 seconds before anything happens, then prompts for the key. After a while it will prompt for the second and third sticks. In total it took around 55 minutes to load all three sticks. Once complete the nav restarts - at this point the version information was blank. I believe this was because the third USB stick was still in the slot. Once removed and the nav restarted it reported the version as expected. I checked that a new postcode that I know wasn't in the original 2012 version worked (SA1 8EN) Job done ! If anyone local to me (Herts) needs any help with this or wants to use my esys installation let me know - am happy to pass on some knowledge gained here |

European NEXT 2017-1 is now out. Anyone know the modification that's needed in the XML file to generate the new code?

Thanks as usual Shawn. So the relevant part begins:
<SgbmId id="NAVD_000014B9_255_002_185" SWID_FscShort="00A90029" name="Road Map EUROPE Next 2017-1"...... Is that right?

All that matters is "FscShort="00A90029" name="Road Map EUROPE Next 2017-1" The rest can be gibberish.

I've altered the XML and it says my generated key is wrong when I've come to update?
I added in the XML <SgbmId id="NAVD_000014B9_255_002_048" SWID_FscShort="00A90029" name="Road Map EUROPE Next 2017-1" supplier="NTQ" sop="01.09.2016" version="10_09" MapOrderNumberBMW="" MapOrderNumberMINI="" MapOrderNumberRR="" successorMapOrderNumberBMW="" successorMapOrderNumberMINI="" successorMapOrderNumberRR=""> <EcuVariant CompatibilityIdentifier="NBT-HB" Format="CIC" /> <SwUpdate SwUpdateEntry=""/> </SgbmId> Last edited by Ajs_435d; 10-22-2016 at 07:29 AM.. |

On my LCi with the OTA updates, it's telling me latest version is 2016-4, not 2017-1. Interestingly though, the OTA update never installs and I have to download them from the Connected Drive site.
