Selling... Probably not. Though thinking about how they're not working probably does make me sick. Lol
Does anyone know much about electronics ? Will increasing their voltage (through coding) possibly remedy the issue with the parking light not working/ being very dim? |

This is reason number one to stay away from BMW halogens, because to get better lights you have to go aftermarket and get questionable quality

They're doing the best they can to replace it but unfortunately there is only so much they can do since their supplier is in China. It makes any sort of replacements take forever. I also dislike the supplier (not Umnitza) for saying they won't replace the passenger side with the dim parking light because it might be an electrical problem with my car. My electrical engineer friend says that's likely not because of my cars electrical system lol
The look is incredible. The lights are beyond gorgeous. I just wish I didn't have all these issues to accompany it. I'd rather try and not hurt their appearance. Especially since this issue is still on going. I'm trying to get this thread taken down... Unless I am just blind and can't figure out how to delete my own threads lol. They're doing what they can and I'm grateful for it. I'm sure most of their other customers are really happy with the product. There is always a lemon in a batch. I just drew the short straw lol. |

Passenger side angel eyes went out recently. I seriously don't know if I can trust any of their products now...these are expensive headlights. This should NOT happen.

Brought these headlights from umnitza and they only worked for two months. After two months the passage side headlight stop working. I contacted umnitza and they promise to shipped me a brand new one. After 6 months they told me the factory isn't making anymore warranty headlights. Instead they shipped me a used one with mold growing on the inside with a black sealant all around the back side of the headlight. Wasted 1600 dollars...

not sure if you still have the black plastic in the housing still, but if you due remove the one bulb, get a metal coat hanger and open it up, wrap the end with electrical tape, and bend it so it gets in there to remove the piece of plastic. The lights are 12 volt pwm so if you are getting a low light the resistor in the resistor pack is not right on the light. this is a delicate circuit so I myself would immediately remove the lights as you might blow the ecu on the car, which will definitely not be under warranty if they find out your replaced the lights. Now try to get warranty replacement costs on your car from them.. Not gonna happen, China wants to sell, Period, They couldn't care less about our problems. They know they will sell as many as they make... I have delt with suppliers in the automotive area for over 25 yrs, Hell I have shook a ton of the owners hands at C.E.S. and they are great inperson but I call direct for issues and get the worst run a round excuses you can imagine.. So my advise is to remove that one light NOW!! BMW electronics are really finicky and you are playing a expensive game....

Well, I put in three contact us messages to have this thread removed because I can't figure out how to delete threads I've started. i wanted to wait until this issue was resolved before posting any more. But I guess while we're here It wont hurt to say I'm still waiting for the replacement I was promised a couple months ago. I never thought about that instalher. You're certain it can blow the ecu?

I have heard of aftermarket hid kits taking out the lighting circuit due to low quality components, So from what you are describing it to me sounds like a component issue from the light manufacture, Now we accept resistors with plus minus of 10%, transistors about the same ect, nothing is perfect, I cant speak for BMWs QC,, but when you are making a billion resistors some are going to slip through the cracks and it sounds like your one light has this issue.. Sorry without testing I cant be certain, but after building car electrical circuits for 22yrs, it sounds like it might be the issue.. In my experience with German cars and British cars, when we put in an aftermarket piece and it dosent work as the oem piece did,, we remove and try another, if it still has an issue we go to another supplier.. Good luck.

Anyone who interested in buying these Headlights. PLEASE do not waste your money, mine stopped working after two months. The company told me out of the 100 headlight sold at that time, 5 of them had issues with them. The number now could be greater. Do not take the risk, its not worth it. I still never got a replacement headlight and its been almost a year.

Dam that sucks especially for being priced so high. $1600 is not cheap. Try swapping the module on the working side to the broken side. If that doesn't work then you have to replaced the whole headlight.
