Anyone know if you can delete shadowline trim on the M sport package? To me the silver cars look much better with the chrome trim and all of the trim painted silver just like the show car.

Yes, you can pick Aluminium satinated option, i think that's what you're looking for.

I wonder if this is a US thing? My dealer said we can not delete shadowline.

not in the US, MSport comes with shadowline and the black air breathers. If you want Satin trim/body color, go for the standard model. if you want the shiny chrome go for the luxury pack

Looks like that is the way I'll have to go or replace the trim once we get the car. Only way to get adaptive LED, auto high beam, side/top view, park assist and to me most importantly blind spot is by having M Sport to Luxury and I'm not a fan of the shadowline and I don't want leather so the luxury is out.

I guess it's always a matter of tradeoffs. I could live without the rest of the executive package but I'd really like to have the blind spot. I've lived without it so far but after driving a couple of the cars for a few days it was kind of handy.

Obviously there are some eggheads in BMW who think that there is a point to restricting options in different countries. I mean WTF

It was kind of a bummer. Had built everything online for a 17 and had everything I wanted only to find out that that ship had sailed and an 18 was the only thing I could order. The single option that was added as a heated steering wheel which is nice but I then lost a whole bunch of other items that you could add in 17.

It's my first new one. Upgrading from my first BMW which is a 2010 328 so all of this is a little new to me on the nuances of year to year options shuffling and options in other countries that we can't do in the US.

My dream order would be 435d Gran Coupe but that will never make it's way to the US.
