Anyone done 328 to 335 exhaust conversion? Does it require cutting and welding, is the position of the clamp the same between the two?

well I have a 228i N20 with a m235i exhaust (essentially the same thing) and I like it a lot. Definetly changed the sound, you can hear the turbo a lot more now so its probably letting gases out more

Yeah, I am. To clarify, are you just wanting to put a 335i exhaust on there? Or are you talking an aftermarket one?

I did this 4 years ago with the 335i MPE, welded an adapter pipe to the muffler end and clamped it on the other end (to the mid pipe). It was a non stainless solution and it held up really good cause I parked in a big warm and dry garage all year round, no place for any rust to start developing on the welds etc. This was til we bought a house with a single, non heated, garage. Very damp and moist in the winter and things went south pretty quick. So I had it redone professionally 3 weeks ago with stainless pipes, welding and all. Amazing job:
