I just had mine replaced under warranty as I had the code pop up on my JB4.

It's a fairly long job (6+ hours or something like that) and you'll need to replace the harness and a couple other stuff, and also make sure you replace the oil sprayer and actually have the BMW OBDII thing so the new servomotor can relearn the camshaft positions again.

Unfortunately the N55 on the F-series is a PITA for the valvetronic servomotor. You have to remove a couple stuff to access the top of the engine.

Here's a picture I took when they took it apart partially. My SA explained to me what was going on and actually let me into the workshop to take a look.

(And yes that is a JB4+Bluetooth you see in the top left corner of the picture. :lol dealer does not give a shit about mods.)

You should spend some time cleaning that engine bay. You can't even show off that nice carbon fiber Dinan intake.

im currently getting my servomotor swapped out. I've been reading that the eccentric shaft also needs replacement but I did a visual inspection and it looked perfectly find to me with no damage on the gear or teeth.

Did the replacement fix the issue?

Yes, just replace the servo motor and run the relearn procedure on ISTA, and all is good.

fingers crossed that its just the servomotor. I've been reading alot of people having issues with the shaft as well.

Did you do a DME update as well?

No, it was strictly the servomotor and relearn and that was it.
